Hey guys,

I have now reviewed all Forum Specific Rules and have updated 10 of them. Details below:

Business and services - discussion thread
Future Game Updates - discussion thread
RuneScape Guides and Help - discussion thread
Item Discussion - discussion thread
Off Topic - discussion thread
Quests - discussion thread
Recent game Updates - discussion thread
Suggestions - discussion thread
Treasure Hunter - discussion thread

I have also opened up a discussion thread for the Events and Competitions FSR's as I would like community feedback.

For the most part these changes are cutting down on the rules in line with the recent CoC changes, with some rewording/clarifying too.

If you would like to feedback on a specific FSR change, please use the appropriate thread linked above. Please use this thread to let me know if I haven't made a change to an FSR that you think should be changed, with your reasons. This is so I can keep track of feedback sort-of-sensibly :)

Thanks!

Update FSRs in the Guide Forums
Spotter: Tibervis
Summary: The rule stating that the word guide must be in the title is outdated and frankly ignored. Many people and Forum Moderators do not notice / enforce this rule.
Comments: The sticky thread doesn't even have the word guide in it! (x Mistii x)

I did laugh at this rule lol.

I think most of those requests have either been sorted or are outdated (apply to ex-forums etc).

However, one thing in my thread that didn't get updated yet is how nothing in the CoC mentions naming and shaming, nor what the specifics of what that is. It was an unspoken rule that commonly got moderated, and which some fmods also interpreted very liberally.

--One time my post got hidden because I named a clan member whom I was thanking--I said, 'Thanks to my clannie SoAndSo for pointing this out to me!" and that was the grounds for my post being hidden.

Could you update the CoC to include how naming and shaming isn't allowed, possibly as an attachment to "Don't target specific players with accusations,
nor name and shame someone by username.
"?

Please add this feedback to the forum rules thread here - this thread should be only for the specific rules. Otherwise we might miss it as it's in the wrong place!
