Just wondering but is there a particular reason only the male has a cape and only the female has a necklace?

Probably because the cape would clip with the female skirt, just as the choker would clip with the male neck/collar.

However, the necklace clipping would likely be a lot less severe than the cape clipping. So they probably made the necklace female-exclusive just to complement the male-exclusive cape for the sake of equality.

Maybe to get you to buy both if you want the cape if you're a female.

you know... you say these very reasonable words but umm(*drinks a shot*) I still would like to hear from you know... the designers of the suit.

also, a lot of existing capes and neckwear clip with a lot of other stuff. should it not be up to the players to decide if they mind?

I'd personally keep most of the suit as is and seperate the necklace and cape from it entirely. they could then sell it separately

I am female if i buy the set i want the cape. I have no use for the necklace but the cape will go with my other outfits i wear all the time. Come on Jagex it should be up to player if they dont mind clipping or whatever. Not sure im gonna get this because cape will not be on my account. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

I also thought that it was a strange and unprecedented decision to make gender-exclusive pieces of different outfit slots. In all other previous instances AFAIK, there have been male and female counterparts of the same outfit slot. I was just trying to rationalise Jagex's decision by giving them the benefit of the doubt.

======
Also, kinda off-topic, but I thought I'd mention this here in case anyone was confused like I was initially: there's a bug with the female version of the outfit in the Wardrobe interface, in that the female-exclusive/equivalent pieces (the torso, legs and necklace slot) are not present in the wardrobe, under their respective categories. Meaning you can't individually select those overrides; the only way is to don the entire outfit first.

A collector of cosmetics and you don't even know it's just one package? ;)

Maybe you should look up on stuff (like in this instance the Hearts Outfit if you haven't bought it) before you actually make some "attempted" intelligible claim like a smart ass :P but in the end you just look like a downie ;)

I mean honestly if it's because of the lower part of the dress that has a huge bum, they could have just made the cape lie against the bum like the terrorbird costume but I think the point is that even if they did release the cape in the end for the female side, you'd end up with partial dissatisfaction from others claiming that Jagex didn't do a good job with the outfit but of course there's two sides :P
