You get more resources from pvm drops than skilling, slayerscape updates galore, grand exchange ruined interaction,
Standard pvm gear is a 1.1billion gp bow, so many overpowered weapons pking is no longer fun, etc I could go on for pages

I hope we can get a true oldschool server with no updates sometime soon because most of my friends have already quit this game since it is becoming rs3 all over again.

Indeed. All the same issues I grew up with + some... 3rd party software was less heard of back then. Balancing is def. not Jagex forte. Doubt we will see yet another version of the game anytime soon and if all this mess never gets cleaned up, whats the point?

Thank you for making this thread. I could not have said it better myself. :)

I want to mention a reason behind the problem you created this thread for is: It is 3rd party clients. They make too many of the OSRS's original challenges trivial. Same goes for some new content too. This decreases the lifespan of OSRS.

Nothings in the past it always seems to come again....Change is good

it will level its self off eventually

Take another look at the home page over 150,000 Players Online the most I have ever seen since OSRS has open... They are doing something right....

You can still make money off skilling it has just slightly dropped don't worry I know I make most of my money from skilling....

What I have come to realise is the market gos way down during new updates especially ones like these.... and sky rocket once the dust settles.

If you need tbow to Pvm I’d suggest an easier game for you. Maybe Mario kart would be easier for you to comprehend? You can do tons of pvm content hell even get inferno cape without tbow. L2gitgud.

Since this appears to be a thread full of people agreeing with each other,

Pointing out that the Grand Exchange reduces player interaction is not a unique or clever thing to do. Making it harder to buy & sell things to/from players does not make the game more fun.

BiS gear =/= standard gear

A game that is not updated will have a hard time retaining players. Early OSRS players, the great purists, began asking for GWD almost immediately.

Regarding resources from PvM over skilling - you can have uniques (weapons & armor) that would speed up powercreep significantly or skilling resources. Pick one, because you can't have both.
