Mr Crowsaid: if we're getting Iron Man mode within a few weeks (5-8), what is everyones opinion about a PvP only mode?
this too would require you to make a new character but here's the thing, pvp only toons start with 99 in every combat related skill (Atk, STr, Def, Rng, Mage, Pray, ,+ HP) but they can not level up in any other skill. they can not roam around the map. They start on a PvP island where there would be portals to all the pvp areas, and they would be confined to that area, but they can tele back to the pvp starter island by a portal (ex: there would be a portal by the ditch in edgeville that allows people to teleport back to the island.) all accounts would also start of with pvp plate/range/mage armor/ & weapons in their banks. these can not be traded or sold.
Sounds interesting -
Positives: Can PK at max level without grinding for months, helps inexperienced PKers learn to PK without worrying about losing their banks, could get more people involved with PKing if it works correctly
Negatives: If it doesn't work properly, then it could further divide the PvP community and even if it does work properly, it'll reduce the amount of PKers elsewhere again. Another could be pures would ask for pure options for this mode also. (ends up with various different builds being asked for out of fairness)
Just how I see it, I probably missed some points lolz
Nornesaid: Threatsaid: Only if you use high level darts which isn't necessary for most Slayer monsters. Even with Steel it's pretty good.
I'd imagine its still expensive for the added damage.
Yeah it is still expensive, in my opinion. The cost of the scales + darts along with other slayer supplies can add up. Then there's the risk of the blowpipe losing some value, ofc it can rise too though.
Also, I've seen players use a cannon and the blowpipe which would get a lot of fast range/slay exp.
I have an account on OSRS - I want to play as Iron Man now though (as a new in game name from the start)
Also I have Membership on my current account - can I transfer this?
They have some criteria's which need to be met before they'll transfer any membership credit, it's designed for cases where you accidentally put membership on the wrong account mainly it seems, although I have never used it myself.
So I'm not sure they will be able to transfer your membership from your main to your new account, but it's worth a try. (see my above post)
If they won't let you transfer the membs it'll probably be because you've used too much of it already, I guess.
I'm not sure if this is right place to ask that, but does anyone have an idea how i can get my old school account back? I remember *455w0rd, levels etc, but I forgot my username and i also can't remember what email I used!
Try the support centre. (top right corner) Click support, then try find the option to send a ticket. That's the best thing you can do or tweet @Jagexsupport
Anarchossaid: What would you guys think if the rune cost of bind, snare and entangle was changed from two, three and four nature runes, to two, three and four body runes?
I never actually understood why it was never body runes. Body runes make more sense so to speak since the purpose of those spells is to immobilise your target, ergo using a body rune to stop their body from moving.
Could argue it's also using nature to grow roots from the ground to trap their legs. Thus nature runes.
As for the idea itself, I'm not sure. I think I'd rather natures have as many uses as possible so my runecrafting is more profitable
You can buy emblems from other players. They're not sold on the Grand Exchange, but if you went to W318 Edge bank, you'll often see some players selling emblems. Buy some of those, cash them in and you can essentially buy the rune pouch.
Nornesaid: lanafan14said: The trailer looked good. I might end up needing to buy a next-gen console if it's only on those.
Seriously, while I'm not that big a pc fan, if your going to buy a bethesda game you MUST do so on the pc. The most basic reason being that given bethesdas general products (and its game engine) problems, the mods are to dieeeeeeeeee for. Especially the unofficial patch notes, those are basic requirements honestly.
I don't even own a mouse. Touch-pad with laptop <3 So I only play RS when it comes to PC due to ease of controlling. (I know, I'm a froob)
As for settings/time I have no idea. It seemed more futuristic than the previous, with the tech it showed in the video. Graphics looked a lot more colourful imo too
PvM Diariessaid: Im concerned because i dont play rs3 anymore and would be disappointed it if only upgrade it and not my osrs account Membership carries across both games. So if you got members for RS3, you would be a member on Old School too.
Rising Twosaid: Anyone think this would have a chance at passing now?
Would you like to have an NPC shop you can buy tradeable rare items from for a small amount of GP? Yes 29% (10031 votes) No 71% (24727 votes) I'd rather have actual discontinued rares (not necessarily Party hats).
Various reasons. I want to max out some of my afkables in Rs3 because I can and more important I want to spend more time on other things then RS. I thought you only meant you were done with OSRS for the weekend. Will you be sticking around the forums though or?
Icy Valorsaid: So I bought a bond from the site, trying to change my name. I redeemed bond, thinking that I would be able to change my name afterwards, but only got membership, which I already pay month to month on. Just wondering if theres anyway you can take my bond off my 14 day membership and let me change my account name please. Let me know please I really don't wanna lose out on this account name, thanks Contact payment support, I think there's a category for buying the bond on the wrong game. (RS3 bonds have the quick name change option, not OSRS bonds)
Sansaid: Ottersaid: Sansaid: This has been a thoroughly entertaining evening of nobody being able to log in to the forums but still checking back every few minutes
Rs3 can log into the forums from the game even when the site is down!! . Clearly the superior game. It's a testament to the popularity of the forums among RS3ers then, with a whole 10 players on the forums when I checked last night o_o Kind of wish I had known. I was trying to get on for ages. lol
