Please change it so that you can hide PvP worlds, F2P worlds, deadman mode worlds, tournament, king of the skill, and any other private server-esque world from the world select and quickhop screen.

PvP worlds should have an optional toggle so that they don't take up space in the quickhop menu.

For the other gamemode options, they don't even make sense to be in the quickhop menu in the first place, and can be confusing to new players.

Why?

Seems like a waste of time, please explain why we need this change...

Doesn't really make sense to have different game modes on the quickhop screen.

Also as a side effect, you'd be able to toggle only deadman worlds on, so it would improve both game modes.

Also means less space in the quickhop screen. People can hide PvP worlds for added protection against lures.

QOL fix, in short.

The usual suspects are here to say no support to anything that actually makes the game better.

Being able to filter the types of worlds you see in the list seems fine, but it's relatively low priority, in my opinion. I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I don't think Jagex should be in any rush to make this happen.

Support.

Obviously not a high priority, but it'd be a pretty useful feature. (More useful than the quest/task list tab menu that's about to be polled.)

Why does it matter so much that theres other "modes" on quick hop?

Seldom does one use the quickhop feature to switch between different games with different character profiles.

If you're using quickhop, you're probably looking for the same resource in the same location.

If you go to quickhop because your slayer target is overpopulated, and click another world and get sent to deadman mode with a new character, it's a waste of time. Having worlds from what are essentially other games isn't really a useful feature. Removing them, or the option to do so, would be a useful feature.

Luckily it says what type of world each world is...

Luckily this is just a QOL suggestion and not some integrity fix ;)

Still really doesnt explain how this is a issue that needs to be fixed.
It's convenient

DMM worlds are usually together on the list, you can filter it to show only f2p at top of list or members at top of list.

we have filters as it is, i just see this as a waste of dev time.
And it's a waste of time scrolling through the world list for worlds for different game modes. If there's already filters, then it shouldn't take much to hide the worlds, contradicting your "waste of dev time" comment. I'm sure you can figure it out.

Lu k e said:
also it does make sense to have all the worlds on a list, what makes no sense is removing them like you want even if filtered.
All the worlds, sure. All the game modes, not really. PvP worlds, just lure bait.

Ok so lets say that they listen to you and filter it, and remove the game modes, where are they going to put them? you want them to make a new list? put them somewhere else? if so that req more dev time to do...

No? There'd just be a little toggle and they'd be hidden. They wouldn't "go" anywhere. I'm not asking to forcibly change where the worlds go, just to have options available for what you see.

Would we do the same for those that don't want to select world's with numbers that are integer multiples of 3? Or those that don't like even or odd numbers? We really going to do this for every single possible combination of world's?

Worlds that have distinct differences in gameplay elements are in no way comparable to whatever arbitrary nonsense you're trying to bring up.

Are you one of those people that world hops shops for gp?

No, but thanks for acknowledging there's an audience for such an update. :)

OP does obviously:

It's not a lure. It's lure bait. If you hold 2 while clicking a pvp world to log in, it bypasses the warning. Filtering out PvP worlds adds an extra layer of protection for those that never intend to log into them.

Sure it's an unlikely lure, but people have fallen for dumber stuff than that.

So just don't hold 2.

Obviously.
It's the same method used to lure people using the lava titan familiar in rs3.

Nonetheless it's not the main point so it's not particularly important.

Hopefully the two .gifs demonstrate the problem a bit better. The first shows what happens when you sort by members/non-members. The second is what you sort by number.

By the way, you can only view 12 worlds at a time, so even a single world is taking up 1/12th of your screen space that is dedicated to the world hopper. Now imagine when several of those worlds are worlds you don't want to even log onto.

Edit: Something I forgot to consider was the location of the worlds. Maybe I never want to join a non-US world because they're too laggy. That's a lot of space saved if I get rid of UK/GE/AU worlds on my list.
Very cool! Thank you!

Doesn't matter if i give you reasons why we shouldn't add this.
If you haven't given any reasons other than "dev time" when jagex is currently spending dev time shuffling around hosidius's landscape unnecessarily, and giving the number of players that use the forums.

You haven't approached the idea itself, just danced around the issue and made nonspecific claims that could be argued against literally any thread in these forums.

from my point of view your argument is invalid and illogical, and is quite selfish

Wanting to improve the world select feature for everyone is somehow selfish?

But it's not improving the world select feature for everyone. There is literally no reason to do this lol? You still haven't put forward a logical reason to do this lmfao.

When I see a suggestion I think about whether it'd help the game or not. In this case there is literally and undeniably no point in wasting Dev time doing this.

Agreed.

Would like to see any logical reason for this as well.
