You know, I think we may be under a mistaken impression. We all think of Gielinor as once made, it's a static creation. Yet we should all know that the Earth changes over time. Yes it is normally very slow and the 12k or so year we know of Gielinor's history would not even make footnote over such a period of time.

But this also takes into account that there nothing driving such changes purposefully. Now Gielinor is different in that it not only has power to spare, and well into the T1 Tier, otherwise the Elders would have next to nothing to feed on. But it also creates things. Vorago to name just one and there are areas like the Heart, which leads me to wonder. Could extra land have been made and made liveable since?

Maybe even in direct response to the destruction being waged since the god's arrival? I am not saying it's a wholesale creation, but a few land masse could have ended up having the sea in-between filled in. And something could have been "poking the bear" and forcing it into an energetic response, land creation and population for extra anima production.

Vorago having to "nuke" Tuska might even explain why it has only just become visible and explorable. The Anima Mundi simply didn't have the power to spare to keep up the creation and segregation as well as supply the energy to fight off Tuska.

After being distracted, I seriously doubt it would go back to a creation cycle to fight off "an unknown menace", not when it could now simply deploy an established 'World Guardian' and the soon to be Idle Adventures Sally to deal with and tidy the problem for them.

While that would be a frightening display of power, frankly I doubt even a few of the top 1% would even notice. They'd be more likely to accept simple explanation, of not having found it before now, than the truth that the planet just went on a rapid creation splurge.

Well, there are a few questions though at present I could only think of a few, feel free to ask your own, I light even past them in here!

Could this Anima Mundi, the first to really gain sentience of a kind, a new thing even the Elder Gods may never have encountered before...could it be carrying on the work the Elders started?

Is it possible it is still creating things?

Can it's reach extend beyond Gielinor? Or is the existence of things outside it's own sphere something it has just discovered?

Thoughts?
Questions?

I'd compare it to the ''Force'' from Star Wars. Though it wasn't a construct of gods that they built to ensure their existence. Or was it (Star Wars Celestials)? I'd guess that we will not know about it more than that we should stop it from destroying us.

Well, after what opther stuf Gielinor has done and responded to, even if only through intermediaries like Vorago, it just makes me wonder what else is out there. As Vorago in may ways is like the servants the Elders created forthemseves to build worlds. And it seems to me that the Anima Mundi has been making and tweaking for its own purposes as well. As I said though, even if such responses are only as a direct result of experiences filtered through entities it has formed links with. A world experiencing, exploring itself and responding to events through others? The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

Well I've been saying for a while now that yes, the Anima Mundi (in essence, Gielinor itself) is a sentient being. It can obviously create sentient creatures itself, and was even shown to make the trees of the land "cry" when if felt Guthix's death.

That second one is important to your theory, as it proves the Anima Mundi can manipulate the already formed basic shapes of the world. Speaking of Guthix, I'll go back to the end of the God Wars for you here. According to what I remember being told, "The Anima Mundi cried out, waking Guthix from his long slumber." This means not only does the Anima Mundi sense what is going on on its surface, it can also feel pain. It seems obvious that not only is the Anima Mundi sentient, it is fully alive and able to feel things, physically and emotionally.

How this ties in to your theory is basically like this: The brain of living creatures is able to feel and respond to things that happen to the body, even change things about the body on the surface. A giant living planet would be the same way, it can respond to, and change things, on its surface in accordance to what is needed or what takes place. Vorago and Telos serve as the most prominent examples, being created by the Anima Mundi when it felt the need to defend itself or its own "heart," in the case of Telos.
To say that it can create land masses or at least change them isn't a stretch when you consider all this. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this explains the existence of the Uncharted Isles, or volcanoes erupting..

Only then can they

themselves and forge their own
