I follow Zaros because he is what is 100% best for the survival of the world.

I believe, in the real world and therefore correspondingly in Gielinor, that nothing can survive if the world does not survive. As a result, the world gets my highest priority. Simple enough, right? It makes sense.

Zaros is currently the only God with this same ideal (to my knowledge). He is working on keeping the Elder Gods asleep or away, at least not present, to ensure the survival of the world we all know and love. Because I am on the side of the living, and I want to live, and I want everyone else to get to live, then I follow Zaros and put my 100% trust in him and will always help him whatever he needs.

In contrast with most (in my opinion) arrogant and naive, proud and one-track-minded Zarosians, I don't care for other Gods, in the sense that I don't waste my time hating them or wanting them gone. To the contrary, I believe several of them could coexist in Zaros' world, with Zaros as the ultimate authority and ruler (obviously).

Zamorak is actually a prime example of this. His ideals are the complete opposite of Zaros' - They are about strengthening the individual. And within a world where that world is sure to survive, I see no issue (and neither does Zaros, for the record) with a leader promoting individuality and personal strength. Again, to the contrary, I at least (IDK about Zaros :P) think it's a good thing.

Another good example is Armadyl. A stern, but fair judge who loves his people and all he wants to do is guard them and ensure their survival, I see no issue with that and no conflict between him and Zaros in Zaros' world.

Seren is similar to Armadyl, she just wants to solidify the Elves' survival.

Armadyl and Seren can exist as leaders to their people, and Zamorak as a preacher of personal strength and prowess.

To provide an opposing example, while he is already dead (thankfully), Bandos would've been an adversary to Zaros' world. He was all but for the destruction of the world - "He would see this country burn if he could be King of the ashes," basically.

The Godless are also a threat to Zaros' plans and that's without considering that I don't see them making any dang sense at all, but that's a whole other rant. Basically, I'm not sure that the Godless are aware of the Elder Gods and their power - If they were, I would like to believe that they would be on Zaros' side, but the way I have seen them act... I find that hard to believe. The Godless, from what I've seen, are naive, and just wish there to be no Gods, as if that's something that can be achieved. I don't see them understanding that the Elder Gods can't exactly be eliminated so dang easily, if they were even aware of them (again, to my knowledge, they aren't), and I certainly don't see them accepting another God (Zaros) as the savior of the world from the Elder Gods.

Hmm.

Another point - Obviously, the Dragonkin are a threat to Zaros' plan, because they are, as of now, aligned with Jas and the Elder Gods. It'll be interesting, however, to see how this all plays out (the story with the Elder Gods and the Dragonkin), considering that the Dragonkin obviously want to be liberated, and what they would do once they were liberated.

Can you imagine if the Dragonkin joined team Zaros?? Oh, the epicness!!

But yeah, basically, I side with Zaros because I want to fight for the side that fights for the living.

;)

Extra brownie points if you caught the two references. 8|

I follow Zaros because I approve of his 100% reliance on logic. Also because I approve of the systems instituted and progress made in Senntisten, and because his followers constitute some of the most reliable and trustworthy characters in Runescape.

Also this.

As I mentioned, I can sympathize with both zaros and seren. Since they are "true" gods. Same goes for the menaphite pantheon, as they seem to be "true" gods.

Here's basically what I mean by a "true" god: They were never mortals that ascended and they have a dominion, rather than a political party. For example, Tumeken has the dominion of the sun, Jas *kinda* has dominion of time.

Actually, each of the Elder Gods are supposed to represent one "facet of time." At least that's how I have it understood.

Also, we know nothing about Icthlarin and Elidnis's backstory/backstories.

I follow Saradomin because I follow Team America: World Police logic. There are three kinds of people in this world. *****, *******, and ********.

******* think everyone can get along, and ***** just want to **** all the time without thinking it through. But then you've got your ********, and all the ******** want to do is just to **** all over everything.

So ******* may get mad at ***** once in a while, because ******* get ****** by *****(IE, Naragun, Senntisten). But ***** also **** ********(Zamorak's defeat at BoL, near defeat after the god wars). And you know what you'd get if ***** didn't **** the ********? You'd get your **** and your ***** all covered in ****.

This my friends, is the wisdom of Saradomin. And why I'm proud to call myself a ****.

If I get a temp ban for this post, then I regret nothing.

Holy ****

I follow the example Guthix, because he never wished to rule us. So many of the other gods are nothing more than tyrants. Some are more well-intentioned than others, but that does not change the fact that they think they know what's best for us. Their only justification for this? Might makes right, a concept that is fundamentally immoral.

I do not worship Guthix. I consider him to have been a friend and colleague. Because I do not worship him, that also means that I am free to disagree with him. He was a flawed individual who genuinely tried to give mortals control of their own destinies.

As for the faction I am aligned with, I am a Guthix-leaning moderate Godless. I am a member of the Godless because I believe that mortals have the right to choose their own fates, without the compulsion to be slaves to divine tyrants. I am moderate in that I am willing to accept and ally with a few select gods such as Seren and V.

What about Zaros? ;)
