My personal crackpot theories:

* We find out the true extent of what Sliske did to us during Kindred Spirits...which may or may not result in Zaros or Zamorak stepping in to offer to 'repair' any World Guardian powers that might have been affected by Sliske's crap, or possibly give us new powers in some form. The outcome may or may not depend on how strong the 2 gods are after your choices during their quests.

* Any encounters between Zamorak and Zaros are most likely going to end up in a stalemate or no real fighting at all. If anyone's going to die, it's sure as hell not two gods who're supposed to be up for an appearance at Sliske's endgame last I checked.

^ Alternatively, one of the two *does* die somehow and the survivor gets an invite to the endgame. But most likely the invite goes to whoever handles Mah.

* Xau-Tak and Ravensworn reference happens. Last 2 quests in the Endgame line had one so why not :P

* Sliske is definitely gonna benefit from this somehow. I'm guessing a massive power boost from whatever happens. Or maybe a payoff to the whole kidnapping Nomad thing.

* Zamorak's camp is going to start planning to fight the Elders by force or trickery and open that option up for future quests when dealing with the Revision.

Now watch a good 99% of these go horribly wrong in some way :D

Well they're interesting theories for sure, but...

*According to Mod Raven, we probably won't realize the effects of Sliskes attempt on our soul until the Endgame. Even if it happens in this quest, there's no guarantee Zaros or Zamorak can do anything for us. Guthixs Blessing may end up coming back to bite us if they try.

Was this from a stream or something? Because I wasn't aware of Raven's statement on that O_o

Regardless, I'm envisioning more of a temporary power up situation similar to the first FotG happening with a potential plot thread later down the road to (attempt) undoing anything Sliske did anyway. Nothing has to stick, but I don't think anyone can tell me with a straight face that Zaros at the very least wouldn't be interested in trying if he can since his whole character is based around manipulating important people like us to begin with.

Though I could be very wrong on that. Wouldn't be the first time it happened :|

*Last I had heard, Sliske may not even BE in this quest except as a minor character (like his role in Nomads Elegy). Though I suspect that like Elegy, he'll make a cameo appearance near the end.

Which is why I didn't say he was going to actively be in the quest itself beyond potentially inviting either of the gods to his endgame (like he did in Elegy) and maybe sticking around to channel the inevitable Elder God energy that spreads around if someone gets a good shot in at Mah. I suspect that this is pretty much going to be Zamorak's ticket to the game more than Zaros' though since Zaros is having Char keep tabs on Sliske anyway just so he can get to the Catalyst.
