This post is being made to address the Live Event Team's lack of communication recently mention in the developer blog.

---

Please do Stream Q&As, Reddit Q&As, and don't avoid topics just because you don't have an immediate detailed answer. If you are working on a blog, let us know you are working on a blog similar to how Ramen did with Group Ironman. If the XP topic is difficult to discuss, explain to us that's the reason for a lack of explanation, don't be silent.

There is very little communication that comes from the Live Events team from my perspective. There's basically none on Twitter and the forum Q&A wasn't something that many players were ever made aware of, and half the questions in the thread were left unanswered.

I went through the forum Q&A, and the communication primarily boils down to,

Ľ "This is how X promotion works",
Ľ "Here's something new to be excited for with a new interaction",
Ľ "We are working on improvements soon".

There's no communication on why decisions are made, why certain implementations would fail, and discussions on what the important factors are when making those decisions. I understand this Dev Blog is a good starting ground, but there are still many topics that have been avoided.

-----

Also, as implied above, please stop using the Forums as the primary source of communication. Forum activity is far lower than it is on Reddit and other Social media sites. By hiding all primary communication here it make it difficult for the player-base to hear information on topic that is important to them.

I actually prefer the RSOF to be primary form of communication for all game information, with other social media secondary, if at all.

If something is happening in game, we should be able to find out details here, in the official forums.

I hate hearing a rumor from someone and having to find our more details by browsing through Reddit.

This, although I agree that the blog itself was pretty lackluster; they didn't even touch the subject of promo frequency, which is one of the key things they should address.

Donĺt get me wrong, I very much agree that important information is shared on the RSOF, but itĺs very difficult for them to have constructive discussions on a platform not many people use. And because they refuse to invest into it and make it better, the problem falls on Jagex.

Typically when somebody doesn't even remotely talk about any specific topic at all, it means they have no intention to address it, let alone a plan to change anything regarding that topic. Same thing here with the XP "concern", I guess... so perhaps to Jagex it is not a concern. :D:D:D

The way I look at it, they have indirectly told people who don't like TH or specially XP promotions that they have a new product called RunePass that may interest such group of players. So just let the ones who like TH to enjoy it while these haters can go play RunePass :D:D:D

As for where Jagex comment on whatever is often up to the preference of specific Jmods. Sometimes, they post in these RS forums, sometimes they do it elsewhere. Not really a big deal.

Jagex doesn't communicate with players much except on reddit.
The sad truth. And even then, they haven't addressed anything regarding Oceans Bounty. Transparency would be nice.
