If there was a poll for removing th what do you think the results would be?

It depends on what the required threshold to pass would be and whether there's other changes that would happen as a result (e.g. increased membership cost). But assuming fair conditions, those being 50% or more votes for removal and no other changes (because the financial statements clearly prove that Jagex is making profit already without any MTX, and removing TH would still keep other forms of MTX, so TH is unnecessary), then I think such a poll would easily pass. > )

At first I would say a majority wants it to go, but the high number of players who criticize TH on the forums may not be necessarily higher than a potential 'silent majority' who in much lower numbers actually bother going to the forums to give a compliment about a TH promo or TH in general. This applies to pretty much everything, people tend to complain rather than to praise more often, because many ppl take the things they're happy with for granted. So I honestly don't know what the result would be, but such poll would likely never take place anyway. It's one of Jagex's main income. Feel free to take a look at my suggestions:
200m xp prestige,
Trouble Brewing,
Custom FPS&graphics preset,
spirit gems destr->drop

It's true that the forums aren't always the most accurate representation of people, but looking at Reddit where even more people are active, they are just as against TH. Hell, it was thanks to the redditors that the previous MTX statement was done in the first place. Plus, people from OSRS would surely come and vote for TH's removal as well, since it'd be in their best interest if "neither end of the ship was sinking".

Btw, just curious, what makes you believe that TH is a main income to Jagex? I get that it's very visible all the time, but not only do the financial statements point out that membership income is the majority of Jagex's income, they also only show MTX as MTX in general. MTX includes bonds (which are on both games, so double the audience) and runecoins, so we don't really know just how much TH matters there. Some jmod might have said somewhere that TH is too important to remove, but companies like Jagex love to put out such PR anyway, so I wouldn't trust it without actual evidence to prove it.

I feel like the community would be split down the middle when it comes to Treasure Hunter. When I take a look on the RSOF and Reddit, there's no doubt people are always bashing and talking negatively about it. However, every time I bring up this topic in-game, no one seems to care about it or they "don't take this game serious enough to care about micro transactions".

I personally don't mind Treasure Hunter but I wouldn't mind seeing more cosmetic promotions instead of constant XP promotions.

The "result" would be the same as a poll to remove Big Macs and Whoppers from Micky D and Burger King's menus... which is....

drum roll....

Nobody cares because they will still sell Big Macs and Whoppers no matter what.

Who care about "polls" when business people are running their BUSINESSES? They always listen to "suggestions" though... that's right, they have "suggestion boxes" in Micky D's and Burger Kings but all the "suggestions" customers put in there are pennies. That really show how much they care. :D

What players say who don't buy spins:

Remove XP or make it all bonus XP stars, no direct XP so people have to actually play to gain levels.

What people want who buy Treasure Hunter keys:

Direct XP lamps. Leave the cosmetics on Solomons.
