So we've all heard about the recent uproar over microtransactions and the gaming industry. There's a potential for them to be B A N N E D from games here in the States. This gives rise to the potential that Runescape will be blacklisted due to the gambling system that is TH.

I'm absolutely ecstatic to see crackdowns on greedy companies. What'll happen from here on, hm?

I highly doubt it. Since Jagex is a company based in the Kingdom, I don't see the States tampering with their currency.

They can easily deny or place a warning on the website. It wouldn't be difficult. Just something to let parents and people at risk (habitual gamblers) know that this game has gambling in it.

You mean this game has "gambling" such as Clue Scroll/Barbarian Assault/Macab/Araxxor pet re-rolls, Duel Arena Staking, Raffle, Gold Premier Club Valut?

Do parents even care? If they do, then perhaps they should stop giving their children money to buy monthly subscription and Premier Club packages. Fortunately in the real world, parents know what game of chances are and many of them even play Monopoly and card games with their children. :)

TH is a gambling system. Money goes in to an RNG device, prizes come out. A 'game of chance' is also considered gamblings.

Sure parents care but you should look at the investigations launched by credit card companies and false claims in video games (like Runescape) with gambling. So it does happen, in the real World.

So are all the other re-rolls, Premier Club vault among other RS features. RNG is in every game. You can go report Jagex and other companies
IN THE REAL WORLD
for gambling. Why don't you do that? It is useless to cry for real world crime in the forums. I absolutely, totally, completely, 100% encourage you to go to the REAL WORLD authorities to report real world gambling but unfortunately to you this is not gambling at all in the real world.

You are pretty delusional! Other companies are heavily taxed and monitored for gambling licenses and such.

The game industry? Nah. Not at all. They have the ESRB and such but hey, that's not enough.

Do you know what goes on in the game industry or are you just blithering on uselessly and attacking people?

Who's attacking people? I simply told you to report what you think are crime to the authorities but games of chance in Runescape is not.

It's funny that you can't make the distinction between criminal and governmental enforcement of regulation and law.

Not 'ha ha' funny but 'this hurts my heart funny'.

When the law and reform comes about (which it will, thanks to greedy game companies) it'll be a crackdown across the board. This includes games that come from abroad needing the appropriate labels and warnings.

The purpose of this topic is to discuss the ideas and potential falls that will come to Jagex's Runescape. Not scream 'THE REAL WORLD', whatever that means, at people in an attempt to silence them.

If you have nothing to contribute to the above statement, do me a favor and remove your inane self from the discussion. Thanks.
