I personally don't mind paying some money to help with XP but it would be nice to actually win a fair bit of it for £70 worth of keys I got hardly anything useful, I want immediate XP help not the stupid small prismatic stars that fill up 3/4 of the possible wins.

why would you waste ur money on th lol

It doesn't bother me that they want our money, I would happily give them money, it's what pays for the game we like to be updated and improved on. But it annoys me the treasure hunter is sooooo bad at rewards, with £70 i could buy 20 bonds, at today's price of 17m each, so that's a guaranteed 340m I would get for the bonds for the same price, whereas with Treasure Hunter, you're led to believe you could win that 200m 'with your next spin'... and even then you get the worst rewards anyway. If I WANT to spend £70 on loads of XP essentially then I WANT that XP to go straight into the skills not as bonus XP. Call me lazy or whatever you like but I don't find 25 logs, or 100 Rune arrows useful. And when those rewards fill up a good portion of the possible rewards, what's the point. The YouTuber 'A Friend' spent a few thousand dollars on keys and won the 200m only two or three times with something like 13000 keys... its trash.
WE PAY WE SAY.
WE PAY FOR REWARDS, GIVE US REWARDS. Not trash logs.

Treasure Hunter should be more direct XP driven I think. I have bought the biggest key package (450 Keys) around 5 times on my account in its history and never won the 200m once. Okay it's annoying but I would rather get than direct XP above all else that pointless rewards like 20 logs, and stacks upon stacks of small prismatic stars.

I don't mind giving them money, it helps support the game we all love.
But I want something immediately useful in return, in the form I would like is direct XP.

As was said above people like different things so they have to keep it mixed. But it's silly, you're buying something you want so give it immediate effect, not bonus xp you still have to grind away at.

Let's say I'm 89 attack, and want that direct XP to get to 90 so I can wield tier 90 weapons, I don't want bonus XP and then have to grind for a few hours anyway, I want it there and then as I would've just paid for it.

It's not moaning, it's just passion for the game.
I want to support the game soooooo O_o

a variety of reasons mate.. some ppl arent broke or living paycheck 2 paycheck so they spend money on a game they play daily...some might be retired n this is all they do on there freetime...some ppl absolutely hate divination or other skills so a couple hundred bucks during a xp promo isnt that big of a deal for 5m+ xp...lots of ppl say runescape is just a game but judging by the way ppl are on the forums n how worked up they get its clear that its more then just that to them. lots of ppl just want to reach end game content already...any1 i try to bring to RS they end up quitting after the first month because its "too hard" or "too much of a grind" ... if ppl want to skip training levels 60-90 and use keys to 99 let them... i laugh at the argument ppl make "oh let them have stats they dont even know how 2 use" .. all it takes is a quick google/youtube search on how to be effecient or what the best method is..at least thats my point of view on key buyers

Exactly my point. I can't stand hunter personally. I would love it if I could actually just get loads of XP through Treasure Hunter. I'm not lazy, I go to university, I have a part time job around university. I merely don't want to waste my time grinding on a skill I don't enjoy. And JAGEX benefit from it as I don't mind giving them money. It's what pays for the game that all these 100% dedicated people play for without parting from a penny of their money. I just want decent XP prizes for the amount of money I put into it.

Many players don't enjoy xp.

Yes but theres some that do.

My point exactly. And especially when Treasure Hunter is majority XP based rewards... kind of makes your point irrelevant saying most people don't want XP rewards.

Point is, people like myself are pouring extra money into the game on top of the membership price which is probably used for good things.
So least we could get in return is loads of direct XP.

If you can buy Bonds and immediately sell them on the GE for gold, why not be able to buy Keys and immediately receive XP. (Not bonus XP).
One combats Gold Farming Markets, Treasure Hunter could be used to help those who don't wish to grind longer skills.
Either way JAGEX is gaining money which will be used on the game we're all here ranting over.

Have you...been playing the past few months? Have you seen the amount and quality of updates, or the lack thereof? Like, let's look at the time since October. Outside of patches, know what permanent content we've has since then?

We've had the Combat Pets, some updates to the systems (Tooltips / Revolution), and the Evil Dave quest.

Take a step back and really look at it. Unless I am mistaken and there's a big update I'm missing, those are the ONLY updates that have not been temporary promos or events.

"The money is being used on the game." Really. Really?

Tell me, exactly what percentage of the revenue made from The Lootbox Infection is going into updates, as opposed to the corporate overlords mandating this? Really look at the updates we've been getting and give me your answer.

You realize it takes time to create content right? They don't just pull it out of a hat for us.
And who in this game actually does know the percentage of Treasure Hunter revenue.
What a stupid question.

"The money is being used on the game." Really. Really?"
Where else do you think it is going? What company would hire hundreds of people to build a game and keep updating it for 17 years, and pay them out of their own pocket? Nobody.
