I personally don't mind paying some money to help with XP but it would be nice to actually win a fair bit of it for £70 worth of keys I got hardly anything useful, I want immediate XP help not the stupid small prismatic stars that fill up 3/4 of the possible wins.

It doesn't bother me that they want our money, I would happily give them money, it's what pays for the game we like to be updated and improved on. But it annoys me the treasure hunter is sooooo bad at rewards, with £70 i could buy 20 bonds, at today's price of 17m each, so that's a guaranteed 340m I would get for the bonds for the same price, whereas with Treasure Hunter, you're led to believe you could win that 200m 'with your next spin'... and even then you get the worst rewards anyway. If I WANT to spend £70 on loads of XP essentially then I WANT that XP to go straight into the skills not as bonus XP. Call me lazy or whatever you like but I don't find 25 logs, or 100 Rune arrows useful. And when those rewards fill up a good portion of the possible rewards, what's the point. The YouTuber 'A Friend' spent a few thousand dollars on keys and won the 200m only two or three times with something like 13000 keys... its trash.
WE PAY WE SAY.
WE PAY FOR REWARDS, GIVE US REWARDS. Not trash logs.

I'd say this is because of confusing messages to Jagex from players.

If I'm not mistaken, most players fit into one of these two categories, in no particular order:

1) The players who complain about Treasure Hunter and say no buyable lamps, no direct XP, but don't buy Treasure Hunter keys themselves or not often. Jagex tries to please these by selling stars instead of lamps for direct XP.

2) The players who actually buy Treasure Hunter keys who probably mostly want direct XP.
These players probably complain when they get bonus XP instead of the direct XP from lamps they want.

As you can see, these wants are in conflict with each other because of coming from different types of players, so its going to be hard for Jagex to please everyone and still make money.

And yes there are players asking for cosmetics, pets, GP or valuable or useful items also.

Bottom line, Jagex needs to make money from those willing to buy advantages, without making players not buying advantages other than paying for membership so unhappy a meaningful percentage of the player base quits, and better yet have players happy enough the player base grows.

Looking at the possible prizes when I open Treasure Hunter, I see way too many stars and other prizes and not enough lamps.

I know a lot of players have said they want bonus XP so people have to play the game, but lets be honest, if you are buying Treasure Hunter keys you want lamps not bonus XP, and never small stars.

If I was ever going to buy keys I would want to see a lot more lamps and a lot less stars. But again being honest, I am not likely to buy keys regardless.

I used my 3 daily keys on 2 accounts for a total of 6 keys so far, with hearts of ice used on several small stars and didn't get a single lamp, which if I was thinking about buying keys, would have convinced me not to.

Where's the warrior and mage sets for the Ocean Alliance? I'm pretty sure people would rather have those instead of lamps AGAIN.

Nah, as much as i like cosmetics myself, not every promo needs to be one.
