Instanced Corp & Packs
Quick find code: 380-381-124-65521500
Can't wait for trading posts, Thanks for trying to make things more convenient...
It's not a fully-featured GE, and you can't trade through it. If people had voted differently, we'd have given it more features. I reckon the ability to trade through the trading post will pass if re-polled; we'll be offering other expansions too, such as item sets and perhaps alternative ways to access its screens.
So this means you better trust the team/clan your with or if you die they can just kick you for giggles so that you cannot get your items.
They won't be able to loot your corpse due to the anti-looting changes that are still in effect across the game. But they could do it out of spite.
However, if you get a good drop from the Corp, they could kick you so as to get that item for themselves. I'd hope your friends are nicer than that, but it's a wild internet out there.
If you know people just want a GE and not an ingame Zybe z, why not just make a GE...
Check out the results of Poll 20. A GE would let players trade while they're offline; that only got 64% support. A GE would let players trade after being offline for more than 6 hours; that only got 48% support.
So no, we didn't assume that everyone wants a GE.
The ability to trade through a trading post didn't pass either, but that was pretty close, though, and might well have changed.
Why would instances for corp be made to be so easily abusable? Is there really no alternative?
You're welcome to continue fighting the corp in the public arena as before.
However, if you want to go into a private area with your friends, you now have that option - but we're not going to be able to protect you from your own friends. Rather like how we don't prevent you from dropping stuff on the floor in someone else's POH, which is far more lootable than the situation in the Corp instances.
So wait, It's called the trading posts, But you can't trade through it?
We can rename it if people like. But since 75% of players didn't vote to be able to trade through it, you can't trade through it.
For that matter, we've offered to reduce the threshold from 75% to 70%, but there wasn't much support for that either, so 75% remains the threshold for a poll to pass.
I guess I should watch the stream tonight for more info!
Is it possible to poll some Pest Control updates this year?
This year? Probably not. We've got a lot of stuff still to do in the run-up to Christmas. Also, the guys who reboot the servers for our updates are going to be on holiday in late December, so we won't be able to release anything then.
Next year, more likely.

You added the 'empty' option for the coal and gem bag. Is a similar arrangement for runecrafting pouches possible?
Yes. I did it for RS3, back in about 2010-ish, so can do it again for OSRS.

Oh cmon, this whole 75% to pass garbage is getting old. This game is losing potential left and right because of it. Surely YOU, an employee of the company that runs this game, and someone that helps develop new updates can see that, right?
We offered to reduce it, but that only got 64%. So no, it's staying on 75%.
If an update doesn't pass, it doesn't mean you get zero updates. You just get different updates instead, hopefully updates that will appeal to more of the community.
The new rings look really good, definitely a good update.
Just shot a bolt with the Armadyl crossbow, and that special is amazing. The little bird that flies towards your opponent is really neat. Definitely a great improvement.
I've made sure Mod Ghost sees your comment. He's happy

The trading post updates look really cool. I'm interested to see if/when things will be repolled for it.

I am on the side that doesn't want a full G.E. again, but a modified version with what you're doing looks good.
The GE brought a lot of convenience to the game back in '07, but it brought a lot of economic effects that many players legitimately won't want again. And, as we've seen, only 48% of voters wanted to be able to have trades complete after 6+ hours of being offline.
Also I came here to say "Hi" to Mod Ash, just because his awesome.

Forgot to mention that the eyes of newt boxes, as well as the item on each box is nice. I think putting the items on the boxes was hard work if I remember correctly, so thanks for making it look good and easy to buy.
When we started doing item packs, we didn't have access to an artist. Since then we've had Mod Alfred and now we've got Mod Ghost.
If you round it up, that is 75%. At least change the item icon if not a cosmetic change.
Poll results are not rounded up or down. The threshold is 75%. We'd have been willing to move it lower, but there was nowhere near enough support for that.
I think this will be a reason why instances aren't going to be used by many players.
Could be. Thing is, the instances exist so that parties can't be crashed. Which means that whoever controls the chat-channel needs to be able to let people in or out at their own discretion.
appreciate the hard work the osrs team has been putting in hope to see more good updates coming.

Its not that the players gave it enough support either, its your broken poll system you refuse to acknowledge.
We had to wait a few months before we could even start, since we didn't have our own dedicated engine dev back when this was polled. We said at the time that it'd be a long job.
We could change the poll system by chucking out the results whenever enough people rant on the forums, sure. However, it's going to be rather hard to gauge the overall opinion of the community from the minority who bother engaging in forum debates, especially as such debates tend to give extra weight to those who shout the loudest. So let's accept for now that the poll system is flawed but better than blithely assuming that whatever we last saw on the forums was a representative opinion of the players.
... and if "everyone" really felt that 75% was ridiculously high as a threshold, perhaps there'd have been more support in the poll when we offered to reduce it.
