I'm gonna cry. Achievement diaries were complete last week? Why can't we have them yet... Just more random updates. -sigh-
While Mod Reach had written all the task checks last week, they are now being tested, and he's fixing whatever little issues arose.
He's currently writing the rewards, which were not complete last week, and aren't complete now.
which day you wish to update the G E?
We've got a long way to go still, so it's hard to predict an exact date. Hot money's on mid-March.

how hard is it to make a dragon defender?
Painting the existing defender model red would be easy.
Designing and modelling a respectable member of the dragon weapon family is, necessarily, more work. Lest anyone assume that Mod Ghost has spent the last 2 weeks drawing a red dagger, he's actually working very hard on the Achievement Diary rewards, which is why the dragon defender's not done yet.
Mod John C also had to program a new group of tougher cyclopes and map the room where they will appear, and deal with the NPC dialogue for getting into it when you're entitled to do so, and update the token timer to handle the new room.
Nothing especially hard, but I'm afraid it's not in this update.

also growed the balls yet to tell us why you added a 'this is why bonds are awesome and why you should vote YES to them' in the f2p poll?
We shared a whole load of information in the livestream about why we think permanent F2P is only viable if you accept bonds as a convenient method for the F2P players to subscribe. Unsurprisingly, we think it boils down to "... so we think this is a good deal." And you get to vote freely.
P.S. If you're going to phrase your questions like that, don't be surprised if other people's questions get more attention.
Assuming achievement diaries will be released next week (... or 2 weeks tops) why is the G.E taking an extra month?
Development on the achievement diaries began in early December.
Development on the GE began a week ago.
Also, the projects are of different sizes, so one can't usefully compare the dev time required to make them.
What's the point in the note exchangers when you were already able to do that on a bank booth?
Players have been using general stores for that purpose for years, allowing them to un-note essence at Jiminua's shop on Karamja, etc.
Iron Men have trading restrictions that stop them from doing that, so these new converters will enable conversion for Iron men. Other players are welcome to use them too, since it can be a pain when someone buys your essence right while you're in the middle of converting it.
There's a small fee, of course.
Also, Ash, pleaseeeee let us have just a painted Red Rune Defender version of the Dragon Defender. I understand you want it to look like a "member of the dragon family" but lets be honest it looks like a wiggly piece of red string cheese. Its really ugly. I prefer the sharpness of the normal defenders. Never wanted this update but at least give us an option for a cleaner looking defender, or change the whole design. The RS3 design really sucks
Mod Ghost is not going to copy the RS3 one, as far as I'm aware.
I expect he can come up with something that's (1) not the RS3 one and (2) not the existing rune defender painted red.

''GE will be added in the next couple of weeks'' - Basically every jagex person 2-3 weeks ago.
I'm not sure where that was predicted, but it's plain wrong. I'm doing most of the work on it, and my answer has always been "a few weeks".
They note and un-note.
The new converters just un-note. They're here to help do what general stores already did, for the benefit of players who (1) can't use general stores or (2) don't want the risk of having their items bought mid-transaction.
The general stores could never turn items into banknotes, so that's not something we've tried to add to the new converters.
At this point I do not see a benefit with having a Rimmington Banknote Exchange Merchant.
It's been suggested that people might like un-noting construction supplies and bones there for use in their POH.
They could have used the general store for this sort of thing before, if they weren't an Iron Man, and if they accepted the risk of people buying their items in the store.
However, it would be beneficial if these merchants had a bank deposit placed next to them. Essentially, people who do Wyverns have the ability to deposit loot and unnote supplies.
That is not what the update was intended to address. We could do something of the sort in future though, if people liked.
