does this mean if you wear armour before a whip stake your opponent wont be invisible?

No, it's not. The new Smithing XP from the infernal pickaxe bonus was widely regarded to be a bit low, so we increased it. It's not uncommon for us to adjust rewards up or down a bit shortly after the launch of a new feature.
& also guys you can stop with the slayer updates they've got enough.
A lot of Slayer changes passed poll 34, which is why there've been so many Slayer updates this summer/autumn. There are still one or two to be released, including the Abyssal Sire, which is the one I'm most looking forward to.
If you choose to be a pure that's your fault.
You shouldn't be dropping req's for tasks for pures..
The combat level change is not just for pures. It's been widely commented since 2013 that many players didn't see the point in needing level 110 combat to be assigned dark beasts, or any of the other arbitrary requirements that Slayer had.

Keep reporting. It shows the Support team where they're needed. Thousands of bots get banned all the time, even if it's not always the ones that are bothering you most.
Only takes a min or so, If you have ever been with MAT K back in the day you would know that ftw
For what it's worth, the number of bots that can be banned by a Jmod wandering through the game is relatively low compared to the number that the Support team can take out with their more specialist tools (without requiring the botter to be online at the time). The bot-busting sessions make a great livestream, but they're remarkably ineffective.
So glad crocodiles have been removed from Chaeldar!
As 1 defence pure they were an absolute nightmare. I still have 130 of them to kill, will my task still remain when I log in tonight?
Yes, existing tasks have been left untouched.
I used to take my pet cat down there, and range the crocodile over the top of it. But then pets got changed to stop them blocking NPCs (before OSRS).
Srry ASH but not enough is being done. Mod Weath can not do it alone and to much time is put on worthless streams where it could be used to ban them. Rc bots are a major problem and bot in general are way out of hand. I see to much time being put into things that can wait and people like new Q and A and Content team members where not needed. More help for Weath is needed. Thank You

Actually looking through the task list you do need to give Duradel a update. Tasks from Neive look much better....
Do you ever get the feeling that Nieve was designed by a Jmod listing all his favourite tasks? I didn't actually ask my colleague how he'd populated her list, but it might well have been done like that.
can anyone explain to me what exactly the slayer task weight means and how it works? along with the numbers mod ash posted on page 3
Take this bit of it:
Suppose you've got the requirements for the iron and steel dragons, and the black demons, but you don't have the Slayer level for bloodveld or gargoyles, and you don't have access to the dungeons containing the mithril dragons or the spiritual mages.
We'd add iron and steel dragons to the pot, and black demons too.
They've got weightings of 7, 8 and 9 respectively.
The pot therefore has a total weighting of 24.
Now we'd give you a task which has a 7/24 chance of being iron dragons, 8/24 of being steel dragons and 9/24 of being black demons.

Just curious, but how did the tasks get assigned ranks?
As I feel Slayer monsters should have a higher rank that most non-slayer specific monsters, but as they are listed now, can be a lot lower.
For example - the 3's and 2's on Nieve are a lot lower than say elves which are a 6. I'd much rather have a cave horror task (I've never actually had that task in all my time playing runescape)
I'm afraid I don't actually know, though I believe John was running a feedback thread over the weekend to help create the lists.
The new assignment code is considerably more flexible than the previous version, so it'll be easy to increase/decrease weightings of each task from each master without having knock-on effects on the other tasks.

Aren't they a bit... well, not commensurate with your combat prowess? We certainly can do.
Is the other major duel arena glitch being looked into? Its important, considering the server dc issues of this year. I speak of the one, where if a player disconnects before the stake begins, yet after accepting 2nd window, their money gets removed from the game completely.
Logging out, whether by closing the client or pulling out the network cable, is not supposed to be a method of getting the stake returned.
