We'll see how the traffic levels are when the initial hype's over, but I would expect that we won't need so many DMM worlds in future, and can revert some.

At present, both sets of servers use the same code. It just has a few exceptions tied in to make PvP different on the Deadman worlds. So any update would be deployed to all the worlds for a simultaneous reboot.

If we find ourselves making Deadman's game content radically different from the rest of OSRS for whatever reason, and it becomes more convenient from a technical point of view to fork the repository, updates would become independent. But we're not there now.

I appreciate that it's an inconvenience for you, yes. Mind you, updates don't always appeal to all players. Many skillers will have been kicked offline for a few minutes each week when we're releasing combat updates, and next year it'll be the same for combat enthusiasts as we launch skilling updates.

I don't expect us to be launching updates away from the usual Thursday morning timeslot very often, so hopefully you'll just be back to the standard once-per-week reboot in future. And hopefully there'll usually be something in the updates that's of interest to you, alongside anything done to Deadman Mode.

We don't do updates away from Thursdays lightly, for this precise reason. However sometimes we will not be able to leave an issue to the following Thursday, and we will have to accept that customers like yourself will be frustrated at being kicked offline.

The stretching issue on the anti-panties was really quite embarrassing, btw.

Ah, no, I meant that we'd be doing the work after the weekend. For launch at a convenient moment - which would hopefully be a Thursday.

Ian's working on a fix for the skulling problem.

Even if you've set 'Attack' to always be a right-click option, if you equip a team cape, the game reasonably assumes that you wanted to attack people in other teams, since there aren't many other reasons to wear a team cape. Ian's looking at changing that too, for Deadman worlds.

Expect an update later today.
