Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean there. We're posting news on the site rather than in the main body of the forum thread because we've finally got a permanent news archive, which is a lot better than having to hunt threads in here.

I'd rather have the demand for higher-tier kit arise because of players wanting the stats and abilities, not because of the price.

The aim was that anything in the species should do it. For example, only certain skeletons did it before, specifically the ones with round shields. Now they should all do it. Maz has spent a lot of time trawling the game to find the creatures that needed updating for this :)

There's a little countdown on the screen telling you when the reboot is due (about 11.17am GMT), and reboots typically take a couple of mins once they happen. Though you may find things a bit slow for a while after a reboot as everyone downloads the update.

I believe we can plug in more icon variants if they're needed, but - as this player says - perhaps we shouldn't. Maybe it'll become more apparent which way it needs to go once there are some Iron Pmods out there.

I'm afraid that poll's open already. There's a limit to how much GFX work the artists can actually deliver in a reasonable time-frame, so we're not up for shoving more suggestions in.

If something needs changing, I'm afraid leaving it isn't a great option.
It was indeed tested and confirmed to be acting in accordance with the design; the design seemed reasonable enough, even to get past the players in a poll, but that's still no substitute for players actually getting to grips with the item in all the possible places it could be used.

We didn't actually have to recreate the whole of Raids to make it available on w45. So while it may look like a big update to you, it's a small change. Like flipping a switch.
Whereas getting a new GE server set up and having the game engine reprogrammed to point at it - that's not something we could have had the engine team just knock out for you in a few spare moments in between their many other duties.

I'm not aware of a dedicated forum for that topic, but I'd have no objection to seeing the change made that you described, provided we could tie it reliably to the opening of doors. (Which isn't guaranteed.)

We've come a long way from where we were in 2013 when the team had 4 staff and no-one expected OSRS to still be there 6 months later. Now we're on 14 with vacancies advertised and the likelihood of more, and the community's grown massively. We may not have the same number of staff as RS3, though I'd personally rather recruit directly from the OSRS playerbase and train people slowly, like we did for Kieren, Jed, John, Ronan, West and Roq. Not all the RS3 devs were around RuneScape in the 2004 -> pre-EoC era.

For what it's worth, if OSRS had been given a separate membership package, presumably you'd have expected a separate price. So would that be higher or lower? In the context of your suggestion, it sounds like you'd have wanted it higher so that there could be more resources on OSRS, but I very much doubt most players would have appreciated such a deal.

Anyway, your question seems to have been about the warhammer. Frankly, even if we threw another 40 devs & testers into the team, we'd always need to use the dev time sparingly, and I doubt we'd start doing extra dev work of that nature where it blatantly didn't need doing.
