Can we know the rough time range taken for the veins in Motherlode mine to deplete after first being mined? Like from X seconds minimum to Y minutes maximum, or simply, how does this mechanic works?
Approximately 9-24 secs from someone first successfully mining it. Which tends to be longer than a top-level miner would have got previously even on their own, and since it's not affected by how many other people are mining at the same time, I'd hope it'll be a buff for you.
N.B. Previously, all veins had a 33% chance of depleting when anyone got ore, so they tended to deplete faster if multiple people were getting ore there.
That's still the case in the lower part of the mine.
Ah, this is most informative, thank you very much Ash. C(h)vt(k)y
RE: The veins in MLM upper level now being on a timer.
I wonder if an adjustment could be made to address the following issue:
I click on ore vein, get some pay-dirt, and then continuing to mine (mining animation) for couple of secs and the vein disappears on its own accord without the last pay-dirt depleting it.
It's kinda strange. I mean, it's strange how the ore vein just disappears randomly while I'm mining it even though no pay-dirt was obtained.
Could it be made so a pay-dirt depletes the ore vein?
You might need to try mining there to see what I'm talking about.
Much love - nice updates today
Kindly refer to Mod Ash's reply on page 2 of this thread. C(h)vt(k)y
Bug with new mining update!
I like the motherload update, however there is a flaw. Whoever coded this was really lazy!
It says "now disappear a random period of time after they are first mined" thats fine right? Yah but it literally means that.....If you click on a spot and walk away it will disappear in a random amount of time regardless of if someone is mining it or not.... Its like if you were chopping trees and you click on a tree and walk away and it falls down..... NICE
Its not the biggest problem but its kinda lazy if you ask me..... Whoever coded this is super lazy.....
This is intentional. Read the post from Mod Ash in page 2 of this thread. He explained the mechanics pretty well. Based from what he wrote, it seems that was how it was meant to be. It is based on a random time between 9 to 24 seconds after the first pay-dirt was mined from the spot, so it doesn't matter if you leave or stop mining or inventory full or have 30 people suddenly swarming that particular spot, it will disappear within that aforementioned time frame. I've mined at the upper level for hours and I notice that's a buff tbh. C(h)vt(k)y

Did the nugget rates decrease? I'm getting waaaaaay less nuggets after this update
Luck based entirely, especially with the rate of pay-dirt containing nugget being lesser than 3%, I've often gotten none after taking from a 4 load before and after the update. I heavily doubt they will nerf anything without announcing it, as they have said in the distant past. C(h)vt(k)y
Really Jagex??? Why in the world are you doing a competition for the fastest fight cave competition when your game is being ddos'ed so bad you can't even afk train, let alone do the fight caves. This it the funniest thing i've seen all year lmao. Jagex trolling telling people to do fight caves when you can't walk without a 3 second delay, at anytime of the day. Literally haven't even been able to scape all week and my bonds are being wasted, can't afk train at crabs, takes me an extra 30 minutes to set my flips in the GE, let alone doing JAD. LMAO!
I believe that event was pre-planned before this DC fiasco happened. I believe Ash said somewhere in this thread that they are considering postponing this event until at least the issue has been resolved and stabilized. C(h)vt(k)y
Please fix the Mother Load Mine glitch. In your update, word for word, it clearly states "For the price of 200 Nuggets, you can now double the capacity of the pay-dirt sack in Motherlode Mine by speaking to Prospector Percy." That is directly copy pasted from update. The original bag size is 108 pay dirt. Double would be 216 pay dirt. The cap is 162 atm, unless you do some tricky stuff and dump a load at 161 then you can find a way to cap at 189. Both still not even close to "double" which you clearly stated in the update. Please fix, I wasted 200 nuggets.
The original bag size is 81. Go ahead and try putting pay-dirt till exactly 81 and see if you can put any more, you won't be able to. 162 is the appropriate figure if doubled. C(h)vt(k)y
If the bag size is 81, then fitting 108 in it is still broken? your argument makes no sense at all. Before the upgrade I did 4 inventories of 26 which is 104 pay dirt. Your argument against my statement only means the bags been broken for a long time. Not just recently.
If you do 3 trips that doesn't add to 81, doing the 4th (which will exceed 81) will result it being overloaded, which still means it will take more than 81 at the 4th load but you won't be able to put anymore after that (eg. 5th load). In short, the game allows you to put 1 more inventory if the dirt sack hasn't reach 81 yet (eg. 80+27 = 107 or 80+28=108 or 80+26=106 or 80+1=81 << in which you can't put to 108 anymore if you do that for that's the threshold). Why don't you try to do 3 loads of 27/28 inventory when the dirt sack is 0, and tell me you can put till 108, then that WILL be a bug that needs to be reported.
This is not an argument I cook up, this is a fact. They intended it to work this way. If you do a bit of reading on the mechanics of motherlode mine, readily available in the fan site, you can easily find this information. C(h)vt(k)y
