Mod Phillip tells me that the applet's signature's been updated, since the old one was due to expire next month. You are likely to have to re-accept the signature when you reload the game.

We could have held a few things back from last week's update, so as to make this one's bigger, but it wouldn't have actually benefitted you in the long term. :)

Since Mod Ash is lurking around, could I ask the following questions re: damage modifiers?

Do undead and slayer multipliers stack?
Do void and undead multipliers stack?
Do magic and slayer multipliers stack?
Do magic and void multipliers stack?

Do any of these multipliers stack with the off-target hits of AOE attacks?

Heh. Well, I guess it's relevant. In fact I put tooltips on the updated equipment screen to clarify some of these details.

Undead multipliers do not stack with slayer multipliers.
Void stacks with just about everything, since it increases your effective stat before the equipment bonuses are applied.
The magic multiplier stacks with the others, yes.

Great updates, but you desperately need to add "make all" for all skills.

It'd make skilling a bit more convenient, sure. On the other hand, for many players, that's not a change they'd support in this old-school game.

I think Runescape Classic is experiencing similar problems.

How's the corporeal beast testing coming?

It was looking pretty good in last week's livestream, and it did terrible things to Mod Alfred. I don't think they've plugged in the dark core thing yet though.

Edit: k, thanks for telling me *sarcasm* pretty much why I never use forums, you'll answer trolls giving attention and not legitimate questions.

While I might enjoy being able to sit on the forums all day, refreshing a thread non-stop so as to respond to all questions within a few minutes, sometimes I have to wander off and program stuff. Or, on updates days, check error logs and merge the latest update into all our dev streams, etc.

What's this Skilling Arena about and where is it? :( :( :(

It's for the Clan Cup that Mod Ronan's been running. Details are in the Clans forum.
Access to the arena is via the portal upstairs in a building in northern Edgeville.

Um... Don't think so. Let's take melee accuracy:
Your accuracy is calculated off your Attack level and equipment bonuses.
We start with your Attack level.
If you have the Incredible Reflexes prayer active, we multiply up your Attack level by 15%.
If you have the void effect, we multiply up that new value by 10%.
Now we calculate your overall accuracy off that value, using your equipment bonuses.

As in your effective strength bonus and accuracy in slash, stab, and crush would change as you swapped melee void helm on/off.

We could show the void bonuses on that screen, but since they don't work like any of the other bonuses on it, the comparison wouldn't tell you much.

I'm not saying we couldn't do the maths. After all, it's just numbers, and the game already performs those exact calculations all the time. However, while we're generally happy to release info about drop tables and stuff like that, it's a bigger deal to disclose the exact details or results of the combat calculations.

They're applied to the final accuracy / max hit.
Prayers (and Void) are applied to your attack/strength from which the accuracy and max hit were calculated in the first place.

It's a room containing resource spots, but instead of giving resources it gives "junk", and instead of giving XP it increases a score. Frankly, I can't think of a use for it apart from hosting skilling events.

I think Runescape Classic is experiencing similar problems.

I asked. The answer was that it's been like that for a long time already. Apparently it should still be possible to play the games if you tell your Java that you don't mind the expired signatures. Rebuilding all the FunOrb games with updated signatures is, apparently, more work than the tech staff can currently offer to undertake.

I'll assume when you say "for ranging" you mean exclusively range.

For melee, it applies the void bonus to your Attack stat to calculate your accuracy, then it applies the void bonus to your Strength stat to calculate your max hit.

For ranging, it applies the void bonus to your Ranged stat to calculate your accuracy, then it applies the void bonus again to your Ranged stat to calculate your max hit. That's why ranging gets it applied twice, while the others don't.

For magic, it applies a void bonus to your Magic stat to calculate your accuracy. Your max hit is determined by the spell you're using, and is not affected by void. Spells that are level-dependent (e.g. Slayer Dart, TotS) just use your Magic stat, respecting stat-boosts, but not multiplying up for Void.

I can see why you want to hide some things.
Takes a little magic from the game. But I enjoy meta-gaming as much as the real game. And I think it's fair to display effective bonuses so people know what is best for which situations.

All the numbers are public knowledge. The only number that's not written on the screen is the void bonus, and you seem to be fully aware of what it is already.
