My account was hijacked a few months ago. I managed to recover the account, but I didn't play for a while after it. Now I wanted to play, but I apparently did not recover the account properly, since it has been hijacked again.

The problem I have is that whoever accessed my account has managed to set up an authenticator and changed my e-mail. I have no idea how, I can't find any e-mails in my inbox regarding the change of e-mail, but obviously he must have somehow accessed it. I have now secured my e-mail, but the problem remains: I can't log in because of the authenticator, and I can't disable it because there's some Chinese e-mail registered to my account.

I tried to do the account recovery, but it was denied in a matter of seconds.

Help, what can I do?

Sounds like the hijacker had access to your email as that would be the only way to change email access and set up an Authenticator.

Now, when you recover your account, that will change the registered email to the email you used in the recovery form, so if that comes back successful, you can change your Authenticator.

But let's go through this step by step. You said that when you recover the account, the recovery gets denied in a matter of seconds. That could be due to any of the following reasons:

• Using a VPN/Mobile device to send the recovery appeal
• Incorrect Log-in
• Log-in is correct, but you are providing insufficient information
• No correct old passwords have been submitted
• You are located a long way away from the creation location (another country)

I would go through those options and determine why it is being denied.

Thank you for the replies,

Indeed I suspect that the hijacker must have gained access to my email account, but have since secured it.

I'm indeed in a different country as I am currently on vacation. Will it be impossible for me to recover the account while I am abroad?

I have submitted a new appeal, which has not been denied, but i'm afraid that the old passwords I entered may not be correct. There are so many passwords and variations of passwords I can think of that I may or may not have used back then. The email in question is also the one I used for receipts when I purchased membership, but I can't find any receipts (I don't know whether I have deleted them, or the hijacker) so I don't have any information, except what the bank can provide me with.

Since I haven't received any feedback for my latest appeal, I take that as a good sign. Do you have any idea for how long I may have to wait?

Vlumondoxa is correct, it can take up to 48 hours. That means it has passed the initial checks and has been sent to a JMod for review. Give it that amount of time and check back and give us some updates. :)
