Good Afternoon readers,

Im in a bit of an awkward situation but ill try make it as brief as I can.

NOT THIS ACCOUNT - My Iron (Solo Octane) has now been locked
due to the Jagex recovery team suspecting it stolen.

Situation: Away with work for a few months, my phone decided to call it
a day along with it my authenticator and the ability to text.
when attempting to disable my accounts authenticator I went onto the
accounts email.. which funnily enough requested I provide a code sent
to me, you guessed it, VIA TEXT. This email being made purely to make an
ironman was not used therefore I can not provide enough information
to request a password change without the ability to receive a text.

Outcome: I tried to recover my account via the Jagex Customer Support,
I gave as much information as I could, including the bank details requested.
I explained my situation as best as I could in the 300 word comment box, next
thing I know the account has been locked. The only explanation I can think of
is that the support team looked at the IP Address of the country I'm in currently,
and thought it was a bit dodgy.

Any advise from the community would be fantastic.

Any members of the Jagex team, I am more then happy to answer any questions in regards to this account in private in the hopes of getting the Authenticator removed, if you were happy enough to take up my case.

Hi RustyRookie.

Well, my suggestion would be to temporarily pop the SIM from your broken phone into another handset so you can receive the text messages and get into your email account. It doesn't have to be a smartphone, any old handset from the back of a drawer should do.

To recover your account while away from home, you will need stronger information linking you to the creation and early history of the account. There's advice on filling in the recovery form here:

Hello,

thank you very much for the response.

Using the guide you have linked ive resubmitted my application. Problem is,
how will i be contacted if successful? as i do not have access to that email address
as mentioned?

The reply to your recovery request will go to the email address you put on the recovery form.

If the recovery is successful, that email will also become the new registered email for the account.
