Stone Spirit drops need buff

TL;DR: since M&S-rework, some drops reduced to 1/20th of their pre-M&S-rework-price.


Dear Jagex,

Since the release of M&S-rework, monsters now drop the same amount of stone spirits like they dropped the analogous ore pre-M&S-rework. The price of these stone spirits on the other hand was reduced significantly in comparison to the analogous ore.

This brings the next problem for f.e. Dark Beasts: instead of dropping 6 adamantite ore (worth 7,2k pre-M&S-rework), they now drop 6 adamantite stone spirits (worth 390gp).

Is it possible to have a look into this please?

Yeah, there's alot of monsters that need to have their tables looked over again. But stone spirits, those especially. .

Support this issue not being fixed yet is absolutely insulting....Maybe they're going to add videos to mobile to reduce the stone spirits drops for 1hour....seems like the only logical reason this haven't been fixed yet, other than they make cheap shot updates and too lazy to fix them. This years updates will be interesting ;)

Just thought I'd point out that Jagex was not the ones who decided that Stone Spirits should be worth less than the respective ores. It was players that decided that by having no interest in buying them.

Stone Spirits as a concept are fine except that players arent' generally mining purely for the ores, they want xp also. Making Stone Spirits give no xp is what killed them as a PvM drop. If they gave XP, even partial XP, then players would no doubt buy them to speed up their mining grinding.

Logically for people to want these stone spirits they would have to be less than it's ore to be worth while so in fact JaGeX's fault since they didn't think this stuff through, reason Smithing & Mining Update was cheap shot. Even if they gave xp who would want to mine t50 ores and under? JaGeX kept ore drops the same while changing ore tiers so the once t85 ore at 10-11kea is now t50 and fully afk. All the stone spirits worth using are sadly dropped 1 at a time and not worth running over to pick it up, your already losing money due to nerfed ore/bar drops which are b2b2b2b2b 200gp drops vs the 3k-800k+ depending on drop.

JaGeX doesn't care for it's player base anymore, so many things got damaged by Smithing & Mining Update and currently none have gotten fixed, if any maybe a few minor ones. @Nerf$cape

IMO the rate at which people can already mine ores is the problem. You can get mass quantity of ore compared to the rate that you can use it. Smithing takes so much longer to actually use the surplus of ores. Make mining ores way slower to match the rate of smithing and just increase the xp per ore. Maybe that will raise the value of ores in addition to stone spirits. Something has got to give though because as it stands I hate seeing them and wasting my time on a boss to get maybe a 20-30k reward consistently is infuriating
