Welcome to Laputa Island!

Laputa Island is a very unique clan, with a strong focus on community. Everyone is accepted and welcomed into the family, no matter how new to RuneScape or clans they may be. The main goal of Laputa Island is to provide a fun, relaxed, and enjoyable environment in which all players can enjoy the game in the company of others. After all, isn't the whole point of RuneScape to have fun? By now I'm sure you've noticed we have no combat level requirements, right? If you're wondering why a clan would do such a thing, it's really rather simple. Our clan believes things like activity, personality, attitude, and loyalty are all more important than how many hours someone has played RuneScape. Every member is treated as an equal regardless of their experience in clans or RS. We help each other out, whether it be in RS or giving advice for real life situations.

Explanation of ranks: (Recruit- General)


Recruit: This is considered in our clan the "Naughty" rank, This is dedicated to those that have misbehaved badly and have a serious warning


Corporal: Welcome to the Laputa Island! Every new member will automatically receive this rank, there are no requirements to stay in this rank as long as you keep friendly towards others


Sergeant: This rank is given after you cap at the citadel one time


Lieutenant: This rank is given to you after you cap at citadel 4-6 times (This is a flexible rule that is based on the person, being helpful and active will be rewarding, meaning you will need less caps)


Captain: This rank is given to you after you cap at the citadel 7-11 times, this is a total of 3-5 times more from the previous rank. (This is a flexible rule as well, same as Lieutenant's exception)


General: This rank is given to you after you cap 10-16 times, this is a total of 3-5 times more from the previous rank (This is the last rank that is based on the flexible rule as stated before)

Explanation of ranks (Admin+):

Admin-In order to get to this rank you have to cap 2-3 times while being general to get the high ranks to take a vote, after that vote you are now in our inner circle :) With being an admin, here is where the fun part starts. As you get into these higher ranks, you'll have jobs. Some are more important than others, and that will be notated in italics. The first set of jobs for entry level admin will be capping
pulling ava, and recruiting


Organizer-You can ask a 2-week trial for this rank while being Admin, in those 2 weeks, a person, unknown to you, will monitor you and will check whether or not you are suitable for this rank (will be checking the jobs the rank requires). If you pass those 2 weeks, you will get the new rank, else you will be put back in your old one. At this level your jobs are: Monitoring the clan chat, capping,
helping people in clan chat, pulling ava and recruiting


Coordinator- Congratulations on making it through another two week trial, The new jobs for the Coordinator rank are as follows: Monitoring clan chat, pulling avatar, capping,
events, helping people in clan chat and recruiting


Overseer: Congratulations on making it through another two week trial, The new jobs for the Overseer rank are as follows: monitoring clan chat, thinking of ways to improve clan, pulling ava, recruiting
events, helping people in clan chat, and capping


Deputy owner: Congratulations on making it through your last ever two week trial! The final job set for the Deputy Owner rank are as follows: Events, pulling ava, recruiting,
supporting deb (leading) , monitoring clan chat, thinking of ways to improve clan , helping people in the clan chat, and capping.

Events explained:


Here in Laputa Island we do sporadic events. We are hoping in the future to be able to do scheduled events. However, for right now the best way to learn about events is to hop in the CC and get in on the action!


We also offer weekly/ monthly competitions. Right now they are posted and updated on our Facebook group. I will be working here in the next few weeks to try to get that info over to our forum thread but for right now if you have any questions about our competitions feel free to come guest in our CC and all your questions will be answered. :)

Some simple rules to keep in mind whether you just joined, or are popping in for a little bit as a guest:

1. No scamming of any sort. You will be banned without a second thought

2. No spamming. If you're a guest you will be kicked, and banned. If you're a clan member you'll be kicked, and banned.

3. No begging. We are not a charity clan. We all believe you get what you work for and we would appreciate all members to strive for the best, ask us for some money making tips instead of begging instead.

4. Be respectful of others. If you wouldn't talk to your mother the way you're talking to someone else, you should check yourself before a corrective action needs to be made.


We are a fun clan and just ask that you follow these short rules for a better environment in our clan chat. Thank you!
