Hello everyone, in this thread, I will present all the changes that will take place in our team this month. This will include the results of the 2 polls that was cast at the previous changes thread, a new perk requirement, re-gauging Raids Feats interest, and answering the previous changes thread's concerns/questions/suggestions.

Please take your time to read all the posted information.

Note:
It will be required from all the team members who have been in the team before 16th of September 2016 to read this thread, and post in this thread to confirm having done so.

1. The results of the Team off-site forum, and Scrimshaws/God Books requirement polls:

In the previous changes thread, I have polled the possibility to make an off-site forum dedicated to our Lucid Raid Team, and the possibility to require non-superior Scrimshaws, or God books, to be used during our Raids Trips. The results of the polls was as follows:

• The off-site forum poll results:

Yes: 15 Members (68%)

No: 7 Members (32%)

Neutral: 0 Members (0%)

As the support for the off-site forum exceeds the threshold for it to pass (which was 51% or more), the off-site forum will be constructed. However, regarding when will it be ready to use, that will not be scheduled, but it will be announced once it does.

Please note: The use of this off-site will not be mandatory.

• The Scrimshaws/God Books requirement poll results:

Yes: 11 Members (50%)

No: 7 Members (32%)

Neutral: 4 Members (18%)

As the support for the Scrimshaws/God Books did not exceed the threshold for it to pass (which was 75% or more), it will not be required to use. However, I would still emphasize that it is completely fine (and encouraged) to use either of them for those who want to do so.

Note: 1 vote was excluded, due to the voter being declared un-affiliated to the team before they have finalized their vote, which is why the total number of votes is 22, and not 23 (per the previous changes thread).

2. New perk requirement: Enhanced Devoted 3

I have decided to require the upgraded version of Devoted perk: Enhanced Devoted (rank 3). This is to support our continuous effort to improve our way of doing Raids, which includes constantly improving our used gear.

This means, once you have achieved this perk, it will replace the regular version of Devoted, or if you had another defensive perk installed, due to having both Impatient + regular Devoted in the same gizmo; this perk will replace that defensive gizmo. If in doubt which gizmo you need to get rid of, you can always ask.

In order to get Enhanced Devoted 3 perk, you will need to insert x5 Faceted components in an Armor Gizmo. I will list below some of the best ways to get these components:

• Disassembling Crystal Flasks (fast method, but fairly expensive)

• Disassembling charged Crystal Teleport Seeds, gained by killing Elven Warriors in Lletya (fairly slow method, but has almost no cost)

• Disassembling Empty Light Orbs, made from Molten Glass (slow method, but very cheap)

Important notes:

- You can get unlucky while attempting to get Enhanced Devoted 3, and get Crystal Shield 3 instead. Due to that, I advise accumulating a decent amount of Faceted Components before trying to get this perk, to lower the amount of frustration (such as 50 faceted component). If you was lucky and got the perk early on, you can always use the remaining components to make further Enhanced Devoted 3 perks for other gear setups you may have.

- Once you have successfully achieved and installed this perk on your armor, it will be required to verify it by screenshotting it (with your R.S display name included in the screenshot), and forwarding the screenshot to our Team-Speak server
(or by posting an image in your post here)
, where one of our team Leaders/Leader Assistant will take them from there.

It is required to fulfill this requirement before the 22nd of September.

3. Verifying the possession of an existing requirement: Adrenaline or Replenishment Flasks

Over time, it have been my observation that the amount of DPS (damage per second) done during our trips can be inconsistent. It can be slower than it should at times. I'm not certain yet what the exact cause of that, however, I decided to seize the source of problem bit by bit, through making sure certain requirements are being fulfilled first, and that will include our requirement to bring either an Adrenaline or Replenishment Flask for both of the Raids bosses, and using them after activating Deathswiftness or Sunshine ultimate abilities.

That said, I have decided to require verifying the possession of at least x100 of these flasks (either of the 2 types), in a similar way to how perks are verified, through screenshots. This requirement will also be enforced to new applicants wishing to join our team.

Note:
These flasks can be taken to the Inventory as notes, so you will not need to screenshot them from inside the bank.

It is required to fulfill this requirement before the 22nd of September.

4. The return of our original method of doing Mirage Phase during Yakamaru encounter, and the abandonment of the "Stun DPS" method

This change is already known by all of you, but I will use this opportunity to explain why, in details.

A month and a little ago, we have begun trialing the "Stun DPS" method of doing Mirage Phase, which consisted having 2 DPS'ers stand at the No-stun pool, and Onslaughting it to death, then closing it quickly, then rushing to help the rest of the DPS'ers with what's left of the pools. At the first glance, this method seemed smart and efficient, but with thorough practice, we have found major issues with it, which prevented it from being our preferred option of doing mirage phase. These issues are:

A: It causes many jellies to spawn. This is by far, the worst issue of this method. As due to the DPS'ers being split apart, it allows the mirages of Yakamaru to survive for a longer time, and in return, more jellies will spawn. What's worse is that the northern jellies can spawn on the DPS'ers and either interrupt their Onslaught, get them killed, or follow them to the rest of the DPS'ers once they rush south. None of which we would want to happen. Assigning 3 DPS'ers (instead of 2) to Onslaught/kill the No-stun pool in this method, will not erase this issue. It will remain present.

B: It requires further coordination, which if broke in anyway, it would deem the method highly counterproductive. This ranges from the inflexibility of who takes planks, and the required steps to successfully perform a strong onslaught (which can easily fail if any step went wrong).

So overall, this "Stun DPS" method adds a higher degree of complexity and risk, with negative side-effects always included, and a very small reward (if everything went correctly), which is a slightly faster mirage phase completion. Due to that, and the fact our original method does not suffer from this method issues; I have decided to no longer use it.

Our original method is a lot more simple, effective, and carry much less risk. Though I'm aware that it does put more pressure on the north tank, but in general, most of those who volunteered to do solo North Tank had no trouble surviving, and I'm sure more of us can learn how to effectively perform it, without dying.

With this change in mind, it should also be noted that North Tanks are no longer required to use DPS gear once experienced. This will be optional (although I personally discourage it) and up to the North Tank to decide.

5. The Challenge Gem will not undergo a poll to determine whether or not it should be a permanent feature in our team

Previously, I have planned to poll the Challenge Gem feature, as it was brought up recently a few times as proposals, and I wanted to see who would be in favor of making it a feature we will always use. However, after it was used recently for the purpose of analyzing DPS output, and encouraging better performance, it was evident to me there is a strong dislike of it by some of our members, where I believe even if it undergone a poll and somehow passed it (which I doubt), it would still cause more harm than good for the team. For that reason, I decided it should not be a permanent feature for our team, and it should not be polled for that, either.

With this in mind,
it should also be understood that the Team Leaders still reserve the right to occasionally (and temporarily) re-use the Challenge Gem at times they feel it is necessary to
(namely when they feel the DPS performance of the team is gradually going down).

6. Raids Feats initiative interest re-gauging

Two months ago, I brought up the possibility of completing another Batch of Raids Feats (that awards you with
The Daredevil
title once fully done), but we did not have enough numbers to do them. So today, I want to ask again:
Who is interested in doing Raids Feats?

Keeping in mind if we were to do them, they would only happen during:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and between 20:15 to 22:15 Game Time, starting from 30th of September.

(Please make sure you are able to commit to them during these times/days of the week before you say Yes to wanting to do them)

The requirements to doing the Raids Feats will be as follows (read carefully):

1. Ability to commit fully to attending the feats

2. Healing through Action Bar hotkeys (and being proficient in doing so), and not through clicking the Inventory

3. Willingness to extend Accuracy/tanking auras using Vis Wax

4. Offensive pocket-slot that must be one of the following, which will be categorized based on priority/usefulness:

A: Superior damage-boosting scrimshaw, or Armadyl/Saradomin God Books

B. Bandos Book of War (ideally, a maximum of 3 of us would be using it)

5. Deathtouch Bracelet

6. Amulet of Souls

7. Rocktails (no Sharks)

8. Pack Mammoth as a Beast of Burden (at least for "Better not touch" and "Rewind" feats)

Any questions about the feats or their requirements, please do let me know.

7. Answering the questions/concerns/suggestions left un-answered from the previous changes thread:

• Are we allowed to use Insignias, and other God Books than what was polled?

Yes, absolutely, especially that now the pocket slot requirement have not been enforced. As long as you carry a portent of life to Yakamaru, you are more than welcome to use any beneficial pocket slot item.

• Why not use discord as a substitute for the off-site forum?

Simply because it doesn't provide what a normal forum would provide. The ability to make separate threads/posts, and many more things, which I don't believe exists in Discord.

• Why not use a google spreadsheet as a substitute for the off-site forum?

A google spreadsheet yet again does not provide what a normal forum does. Moreover, the point of an off-site forum exceeds the concept of creating guides/sharing tips. It allows for other things, such as announcing absences, and it can expand to other things which we don't yet know about. It is best if we don't limit ourselves to such an application.

• Will it be allowed to use the defence-reducing Auras, now that we allow Soul Spit (Berserk, Reckless, and Maniacal Auras)?

The short answer is No (for now). These Auras are both risky and unnecessary. We are much better off using the regular accuracy ones, that does not add a defence penalty. Moreover, an ex-team member once tried them, and the result was taking significantly more damage, which outclasses what they say on their examine (-15%).

• Would a removed team member be able to misuse our future off-site forum?

Considering there is ways to limit access of the forum to approved registered users, and the ability to remove access from an existing user, I don't think this will happen. Though, I should express that un-affliation of our team usually does not happen on bad terms...most of the time, it is activity problems, so I doubt there will be attempts of misuse to begin with.

Thank you Lucine, most informative, have read it all. Now to stock up on a few extra replenishment flasks.

I don't have feedback to offer pertaining to your post, but my silence in that regard should be viewed as me agreeing with your points :)
