So the annual survey is here once again and with it I noticed a fair number of ideas I would really love to see implemented.

Some of my favorites being:

Construction Rework- As a guy who *loves* decorating, i have always loved housing systems in video games. I have spent more hours than i will ever admit building up settlements in Fallout 4, and i would love to put just as much love into housing here in Runescape, sadly with the super limited building designs and decorations, i just don't feel that itch like i do in other games. I really want to be able to create a home worthy of a worldly traveler, who has seen and done much in his time.

Miscellenia Management Rework and Overhaul- This is something i have wanted for a fairly long time. I am a fairly active user of the kingdom as it is one of the ways i build up my fortune long term. However, it has become increasingly less profitable as the materials you can obtain have lost some of their value due to the increasing ease in which you can obtain them. In addition to this, it has always felt weird how Rellekka got a graphic overhaul, but Miscellenia hasn't (along with the other surrounding islands). I would love to see this get that splash of new graphics paint, and the idea of upgrading the kingdom makes me very happy, as it would give me another long term goal to work towards.

City Overhauls and Player made improvements- Arguably one of the more creative ideas to have sprung up from the survey this year. In additional to the suggestion of Overhauling the major cities like Ardougne and Varrock, they suggested giving us the ability to rebuild parts of the city (think the slums of Varrock, or West Ardougne), not only would it breath some much needed life into it, but it'd feel like the world is progressively getting better as our character quests, defeating villains and toppling tyrants. I have long since waited for the graphically dated major cities to see the same love Falador got.

Quests, Quests, Quests!- I would say, of all the updates that comes to Runescape, I'd argue that i love none more than quests. They are a unique staple to Runescape in the fact that every quest isn't some mere fetch quest or kill X monsters and turn in. each one is a story, some short, some long, and many are chapters in an overarching story. They are without a doubt, one of the biggest reasons why i will never let my subscription run dry, i have always enjoyed the excitement and challenge each new quest brings, and I'm always looking forward to new quests

Kingdom Clash and Politics- I've always found it a little strange how, despite being in close proximity to one another, most kingdoms outright ignore each other. It's not like they are on the best (or worst) or terms, but it just feels like they occupy close space and somehow manage to almost completely avoid interacting with each other. I really do like the idea of Political squabbles, skirmishes over disputes, etc. It should have been something we'd seen a long time ago.

Among many other things, the proposal of a Summoning rework where the lion's share of XP comes from actually using the Familiars instead of making pouches intrigues me. When they first announced Summoning back in the day, I figured that's how it'd work, that you'd be rewarded for sending out your summon to claw and maim. Instead, we got a knockoff version of Runecrafting.

Most of the quest ideas were good, too (I'm not as crazy for the Wise Old Man murder mystery or the one that'd require 99 Slayer, but I'd gladly take any of the rest). It's clear that the relatively low number of quests over the past two or so years isn't for a lack of ideas.

As for as City Overhauls, I have but four words: Garden of Tranquility 2. I'm surprised that the Queen isn't up in arms about how... slummy certain parts of town are. It's long overdue that we gave those stray dogs a forever home, gave the tramps quality jobs, and pushed the Phoenix and Black Arm Gangs out of town!

Though, one thing I'm not particularly interested in is the politics of the kingdoms. It'd be nice to get a little bit of flavour of trade disputes/deals in books or the Varrock newspaper or what have you, but I'd rather not be drowned in the small details.

Construction Overhaul is a no-brainer and long overdue, Miscellania revamp would be great, I like most of the "Player-Owned" ideas (though I'm not sure if the submarine one would really lead to anything particularly worthwhile), and as I mentioned in the pinned thread, the idea of bosses where skillers and PVMers work together for a common goal is sweet music to my ears.

Overall, I'm liking the ideas being put forward. I only hope that Jagex follows through.

Survey crashed while I was taking it. So thanks for posting some of the things, interested to see what else there is.

Also thank you for this..

Survey seems to have a bug where it asks

UP to 3 skills you liked to see improved

Answering just one results in an error (answering more than 3 tells you to answer no more than the maximum)

Maybe the question should say which 3 skills (not imply you can choose just 1 or 2)

Anyway minor niggle, lots of interesting ideas there.
My personal take is more news should be shared on the main site/messages less on social media which I dont personally engage in. (or if they do replicate any messages here!)

Some much info I miss out on due to their misinformation (sic) policy

My main wish is to revamp all the old areas that have been neglected, Varrock, Karamanja, Edgeville, Ardougne etc.. but give a reason for being there. Player owned towns seemed interesting as well as activities to develop the world and make use of these skills we have been earning for almost (for my part) 15 years

Exploring the Wilderness before the GW is also interesting and expanding the lore and back stories is also of a lesser interest.

Construction is well overdue for an overhaul and could be tied in with improving the world as part of graphic rework, maybe even a collaborative effort for certain tasks.

More quests would be good, they dont have to be epic, just fun , add something to the game and worthwhile. Also should be doable for most players not just the few elite players.

Yep survey is making the right kind of noise whether it is flatulence or eloquent Shakespeare remains to be seen! :P
