I have an idea for a skilling boss. it would be a timed boss vs how CB bosses we kill them and claim victory. the goal would be either solo or up to a 3 player team use different skills to defeat the boss. The boss would have 3 stages, each stage is random so the experience of a "kill" is different every time. Each stage would be chosen at random after completing the previous stage. the same stage could not be selected multiple times in the same attempt.

The stages would each include different skills required. with 3 different overall requirements to fight the boss. the easy version requiring 50+ in all skills. the medium version requiring 70+ and the hard version required 90+ in all skills to attempt. Boosts cannot be used for requirements. Each stage will have a 10 minute timer in solo, reduced by 1 minute per additional player down to 8 minutes at 3 players. although each additional player will increase the bosses required skilling amount to complete by 50%.

See as follows for possible stages:
wooden construct: woodcutting, fletching and firemaking to defeat the boss.
metal construct: mining and smithing required.
giant fish: fishing and cooking required
gold coin construct: thieving and agility required
wrathful dryad: farming, herblore and hunter required
essence brain: runecrafting, summoning and divination required
broken construct: crafting, construction required

each different stage will have its own set of mechanics. these mechanics will allow the boss to "fight back" or disrupt your attempt at using skills to get rid of it. I will get into the mechanics on the next thread.

Rewards would include: experience lamps, chances to be rewarded skilling outfit pieces, clue scrolls, ancient effigy, coins, resources and a new unlock codex for skilling prayers.

Different boss stages and mechanics~

the Wooden construct: Players will attempt to chop the constructs legs in order to topple the construct. once the construct has fallen players will use firemaking to burn the construct and fletching to weaken the construct.
The construct will create vine at a targeted location that will grapple any player within 1 space of it for 3 seconds. this attack occurs every few seconds when the construct isn't toppled. when the construct is toppled it will grow thorns that must be fletched off in order to attempt burning it. the construct will stand back up after 30 seconds an must be toppled again.

Metal Construct: Players will mine the construct gathering metal scraps. The player will then use these scraps on a furnace located in one corner to destroy them. as more scraps are destroyed the boss will get smaller until it falls apart.
the Construct will create magnets in a targeted area that will pull a player towards it, the more metal scraps carried the faster the pull. this will last 5 seconds. after the construct gets under 50% health it will also create metal walls that will have to be avoided or destroyed via mining. if the walls aren't destroyed they will disrupt movement around the boss area.

Giant Fish: players will fish from 2 whirlpools located on either side of the fish. after gathering fish the players will have to cook the fish on a fire on the back wall. the players will attempt to feed the giant fish in order to reduce its rage and make it dive back into the deep water.
the giant fish will use its fins to send a wave at the players knocking them back. when attempting to cook the fish will spit a stream of water at players that will cause them to lose 1-3 uncooked fish.

Gold Coin Construct: Players will have to use agility in order to climb obstacles and drop on the constructs back. when on the back players will steal large gold coins off the construct. when the construct is under 10% health players will be forced to begin stealing large gold bars instead of coins.
the construct will activate a wind spell in a straight line similar to wind surge except it takes up a 3x3 space, that will knock players off of obstacles if it hits them. when players are on the constructs back the construct will attempt to grab a player and throw it off, requiring agility to dodge. this will occur every 10 seconds.

Wrathful Dryad: players will attempt to barehand catch wisps and plant them on the dryad. after being plants a wispy sprout will grow and have to be picked off the dryad. Players will then use wispy sprouts on a giant bowl of enchanted water(herb). eventually this will create a bowl of calming waters which will complete the phase.
The Wrathful Dryad will send out a wave of anger every 15 seconds that will scatter wisps and make them harder to catch for 3 seconds. the dryad will attempt to pick wispy sprouts if they are not picked within 10 seconds of growing in order to avoid being calmed.

Essence Brain: Players will attempt to siphon the brain for divining fluid. using the divining fluid on the runic altar will create runic thoughts. the runic thoughts are used on the summoning pillar to create memory essence familiars. these will be summoned and absorbed by the Essence brain making the Essence Brain regain its memory.
The Essence Brain will use a mental shout that will stun any player in the direction the brain is facing for 3 seconds. The essence brain will begin releasing a shockwave of energy that will disable the summoning pillar for 10 seconds every 30 seconds.

Broken Construct: Players will have to first gather broken pieces of the construct. after gathering pieces players will carve the pieces into shape and build the construct back to completion. Players will also have to use planks from the plank stack on the back wall to repair the floor so they can continue working on the construct.
The broken Construct will use its floating head to knock players over when they are carving the pieces, messing up the piece and making it useless. When the construct is half built it will begin to send out small quakes that will damage 1-3 floorboards at a time every 30 seconds.

~Rewards~
experience lamps will be based on the boss difficulty. Easy will reward 1 experience lamp of 15k experience, medium will reward 1 experience lamp of 25k and hard will reward 1 lamp of 50k experience.
clue scrolls will be based on difficulty. easy boss: hard clue only, medium boss Hard and elite clues, hard boss will be elite and rare chance master clues.
coin amounts will be based on level as rewards. easy: 100k medium 150k and hard 200k
the ancient effigy can only be acquired on medium and hard difficulties.
skilling outfit pieces can only be attained on hard difficulty.
Resources gained will be dependant on the difficulty for the amount but will have possibilities of resources needed across all skills.
the new codex for skilling prayers will only be dropped on elite difficulty.

The skilling codex will be usable to learn 1 of 2 prayers: gatherers wish or workers flourish.

-Gatherers wish will provide +5% chance of gathering an additional resource when using gathering skills.
-Workers flourish provides +5% chance of creating a second finished product through crafting/construction/fletching/cooking or a 5% chance of adding +25 heat to a smithing item.
