ya its my 3rd today, im an idea guy. craftable small boats and you launch them at the water and then you move around like normal but now ur on the water and cant go onland unless u tell ur char to dock or beach the boat could even have sea monsters and special boat combat islands with valuable resources that can only be reached by boat (large ones but small ones too. like just big enough for 1 palm tree and it surrounded by fishing spots or something)
This kinda exists already: Uncharted island in The Arc.Creator of the quarterly M.U.P.A.Q. and I.B.A.T.A.W.A.T. Awards™. Do you notice unhelpful but non-trolling posts? Or someone asking a question for which the answer was already given? Nominate them here!
ive never seen uncharted islands ingame, but from what im reading on the wiki its like the boat travel where you dont actuilly pilot the boat at all. im saying to add a boat that you can drive around on the water like you were walking on land. and there could be fishing spots in open water. and areas more easily explored with boats. and small (like really small but not uncharted) islands that can only be accessed by these boats (like an island thats literilly just a mine with 3 rocks in it or something. or one with just a magic tree, and no room for anything else on the island) you can see these island from the shore, you just cant reach them without a rowboat or canoe
as for a sailing skill i think thats a different idea. it could be a good idea. with larger boats to pilot and even naval battles. but can the game handle large boats moveing around like that? sure you could have it just be sailing to different destinations and not actuilly piloting the boat. which would be a little bit cool i guess but i would much rather be able to sail the ship myself and not just see a loading screen and poof im at my destination. but again can the game even handly larger ships? i dont know. but here im only asking for small boats. no more impact on performance than your most flashy armor
