The offending video has been removed from the gallery.
However, I have contacted the videomaker, and if they re-submit the video to me which does abide by the rules by Sunday, I will re-upload it to the gallery. I believe that's a fair compromise, because by the looks of things a lot of time and effort went into it, and it deserves to be seen.

Am I really reading this? Not only is the organzier changing the rules during the contest, but they feel because a lot of time and effort went into it, it deserves to be seen? If that is not "pre-judging" and clear bias, I don't know what is! What about all the other video's which were removed or rejected? Do they all get the same treatment? What about the votes already cast, which were based on views of the original footage in it's entirety? How can this be fair? There is no logical reason to condone rule-breaking and giving a second chance because you feel the video deserves it.
Your own T&C's:
>The opening and closing dates and times for entries are as indicated in the
> Competition information. Any entries received before or after the opening or
> closing of a Competition will not be considered unless otherwise stated.
So this rule means nothing as you feel free to ignore the closing time and allow an entrant to change their submission
>illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted
But I guess it's okay to allow a rule-breaker chance to re-edit their entry?
I believe every single person that entered the competition would argue they put a lot of time and effort into their videos, but they followed the rules: Even if this compromised the content they submitted. So why is this person getting special attention? The prize here is worth a lot of money, and there should be no bias or significant changing of the rules to be fair to all.

I agree with you Kokkor - everyone has put a lot of time and effort into their entries.
The votes already cast on that video are nullified, sorry if I didn't make that clear.
There is no pre-judging here (I myself am not a video afficionado, or eligible to be making comment on the quality of a video), and I will not be judging the videos.
I just think that, bearing in mind what the terms are which caused the video to be breaking the rules (i.e. blank spaces and credits) that there needs to be an element of leniency. There, of course, is a penalty (i.e. that they miss at least 5 days' worth of voting potential), but in my mind this is a fair outcome and that's my final word on the matter.

Oh dear! What a mess this has been but glad it is sorted.
I have a question.
When the competition ends and the voting closes, will the gallery remain open and the votes be viewable for us to see? This way we can see for ourselves who made the top 5 and by how many votes? and to see how many votes each video got?
Thanks

Quite the mess indeed...
And also going back to my own questions,
Will there be categories as before?
Will ALL submissions be looked at for these categories?
Is this top 5 thing just to pick the "Best over all" video, or are they going to be used for the categories, ignoring other entries?

poor choice, but whatever. I only see 2 complaints, it'd be different if the WHOLE of the community complained. EDIT: Ty for wasting all the time everyone put into the video over a couple seconds of credits.

I'm also going to state, you're listening to a kid that isn't ranked on RS High Scores and he only has 6 forum posts(on this thread). Worst choice listening to kokkor.
