I have bought so many keys its ridiculous.. Just bought my last 75 keys. I was trying to get the new hunter outfit but not 1 single piece out of 75 keys? this happens every time I buy keys, all I end up with is xp stars or some junk. yes i use the heart of ice where needed. my clan mate bought 15 keys with a bond and get all 5 pieces so apparently my cash isn't wanted....

That is RNG for you. Even if you block 10 white level prizes very time you are not guaranteed any outfit pieces. Jagex has to make the pieces rare enough so you don't get one every time so they can sell keys, but common enough so it feels worthwhile if you do buy keys, and it sounds like for you the RNG made it not worthwhile to have bought keys. It should be statistically improbable to not get any outfit pieces with 75 keys, but improbable does not mean impossible.

I'm not sure how this could be fixed, unless Jagex makes it so after every 25, 50, or 75 keys and so on you can pick a prize you wanted.

It's not necessarily an uniform RNG. That would not be the optimal model for increasing revenue. It is more likely a statistical optimization model that optimizes for number of keys purchased and factors in past key purchasing behavior. Jagex has full time data scientists working for them, they can't all be putting together uniform RNGs.

RNG for you mate.

It sucks to spend money on random chance games and not get what you want, but that's just the way it is.

I think it's kind of obvious that, if such a system was implemented, it'd be within reason, not allowing the rarest of prices to be picked, perhaps just a bump in chance for prizes like that after a few hundred keys.

I think at best you might get an increased chance at the 200m prize, never a guarantee you would get it. Maybe a guaranteed random purple level prize, or your choice of a specific purple level prize excluding the 200m.

Lets say after every 100 keys used, you get a token.
100 keys = 1 token = a random white level prize
200 keys = 2 tokens = a random yellow level prize or a specific white level prize
300 keys = 3 tokens = a random orange level prize or a specific yellow level prize
400 keys = 4 tokens = a random red level prize or a specific orange level prize
500 keys = 5 tokens = a random purple level prize
600 keys = 6 tokens = a specific purple level prize excluding 200m

You would never be guaranteed the 200m, it would always be a random chance to get it even if guaranteed a purple level prize. Freezing all other purple level prizes won't force you to get a specific purple level prize, but instead may cause a reroll and make you lose the purple level prize guarantee, making you possibly get a white, yellow, orange, or red level prize on reroll, which is how it works now.

This is just an idea, and the number of keys or tokens needed to choose a prize level or specific prize could be different if Jagex decided to do something like this.
Hi.

Jagex has promotions to guarantee a certain prize level or specific prize a few times a year already, sometimes by the number of keys used, and sometimes by spending hearts of ice, so the above probably won't be implemented on a regular basis but only during special promotions as they do now. Hi.

Jagex finally figured out a way to turn this Treasure Hunter thing into some serious revenue. I've bought and used ~6 bonds (with GP) on my main and not gotten a single piece of this hunter outfit. Seems like a well thought out scam to dramatically increase bond sales, now I'm almost GP broke and have to resume slayer to rebuild my cash. I refuse to ever spend another IRL penny on this game lmao.

Just Bad luck man, you get bad RNG all over the game, it's the roll of the dice.

No different from PVM, some people go GWD for 10 kills and get a pet, some sit there for 3k and get nothing, Lady Luck is a B***H and thats the harsh truth of it!
