Is there any way to condense the runescape servers while continuing to support the global community so that everyone can be brought back into a tighter group. Has things stand it seems that the player base is spread thin through a lot of area, content dividers, and between the worlds and it would be nice to have more opportunity to indulge in each others company.Working on the ultimate
Most people are in priff now, even then smushing people together=/=interaction. Priff has a bunch of people at fishing location, have fun seeing a conversation ever there without initiating yourself.
Everyone's afk and tabbed out and won't bother breaking the ice by talking 1st.
This game struggles to handle a lot of players in one place. The jmod events at lumbridge crater were so bad they crashed the world and had to disable pets in that crater to reduce the lag.
Unless they instance/add a lot of spots for players skilling resources so that other players don't obstruct them, pushing people together by removing worlds is not going to be a positive experience. I can see the sheer rage with slayer in its present state or the 120 upcoming if they removed a bunch of worlds; "HOP DUDE PLZ LEAF" and there would be no quiet worlds to hop to because they removed their existence. Imagine being cursed out every time you skill because you obstruct each other, thats not interaction thats block list and ignoring the persons existence which is the problem we already have, no one wants to interact to begin with.
People just need to stop being shy or tabbed out. And sometimes people just don't want to deal with trade world g.e. level spam clogging their chat at every skilling location and lagging them to death. It's not fair to rob people of their quiet non laggy world options.
There are currently worlds that at times host less then 20 people on them, even members worlds. With the mining/smithing rework and another expansion on slayer the areas for players to get what they need are not going to be so competitive. They are hardly competitive has things are now. PVM is already entirely instanced. I find that the few players that are social you find has you run around the game indulging in various content. If it be pvm, events, mini-games, ect. and bringing the few and far in between a bit closer together can also help foster competition. The RS3 servers are lucky to have 30,000 people over 140 worlds at any given time. There is plenty of room to condense.Working on the ultimate
Forcing players together wont help, what needs to be done is giving better incentive for playing together. People don't play minigames and such because solo content is more lucrative.Harbinger of Zaros.

Jagex ran a poll in the past as to whether or not we wanted to reduce the amount of servers to make it feel fuller. The consensus was we liked it the way it is as there would be less competition for resources on each world.~Tranq~

Yea to be fair, if they did condense the worlds then 90 percent if not more would complain about not being able to get the resources they wanted. The richest person is not who has the most. It is who Needs the least.

If people don't want competition, why are they playing Runescape, an mmo?Runescape Reunion: Bringing together the community
The opposite of Justice is simply another Justice. What is Evil is subjective to each person.
