When are we gonna see more graphical reworks!!??

Tons of areas look bad in game and outdated.

If jagex is truly going to add 4k support why do so when most of the game looks like it is from 2009!.

I agree to a certain extent. Some textures (mostly ground textures) look fine as they are, they look WAY better than the newer ones (although I love the normal mapping on some of the newer ones), but I do think they need to invest in two things: touching up all the outdated models and textures, and expand the game world.

Sadly, I don't see either coming despite their whole "unfinished business" thing. It'd definitely be worth their while.

Yeah, I give them credit for at least doing them here and there. There for awhile, they were saying they wouldn't do graphical reworks unless there was a major reason to do them, which felt like a cop-out to me.

When did you hear about this? Tried to search their Twitter but unfortunately couldn’t find a thing about Seers’ rework... Really hope Jagex finds time to work on their Graphical Rework projects anytime soon as I personally look forward to these

On the Tuesday livestream last week, they also showed off them experimenting with lighting & skybox changes in a couple of areas.

Not necessarily a graphical rework, but it does a lot to the look of the game without having to rework everything.

That was actually a really interesting segment. I recommend looking it up on twitch or youtube.

I believe the areas currently under work graphic reworks that we've been made aware of are Camelot, Seers, and Karamja. I think they are all still early on in development, especially Karamja, and may even be on hold still despite the "Unfinished Business" initiative. It's sad.

I think we need to get a comprehensive list as detailed as say the design documents for things related to the mining and smithing update that details every area, object, texture, npc, monster, equipment, etc that is in need of a graphic update. Maybe even have a world map with areas blocked out with the dates they were last updated (like a hot and cold map). Then we need to get a poll/survey going to sort out what the communities most desired top picks are and work our way down from there.

Area reworks are fine, Yanille for example could seriously use a new lick of paint. As far as equipment is concerned, the weapons that shrink when you sheathe them should be fixed, and a few things like Blurite Sword, and any other weapon that looks like its from the early 2000's, such as most, if not all, wooden shortbows, could use a nice update as well.

However, I believe player avatars(and some NPCs, to be fair) need a graphical and visual overhaul more than anything else right now. In EOC combat mode, our legs bend backwards. Regardless of combat mode, our faces are a horrid mess of sloppy polygons. The former has consistently been a problem since EOC was released in late 2012. We've had the hind legs of a goat for over FIVE YEARS now. Can we please get this fixed already?
