This was mentioned on reddit(ofcourse) about the lack of passion and updates runescape gets.
A J-mod responds 4 months ago from Mod Orion

A little more resources than usual are being taken up by mobile, mining and smithing, the big secret XXL update.

Mobile and M&S will be released 'in the near future' and we can move on to bank rework with more resources at play.

We've hired more developers and QA also, and so far they've been competent ;), so I have good feelings about the future.

I'm speaking on behalf of others here too when I say this, but the content team seem as passionate and enthusiastic as ever. I know my own team are super excited about what we're working on for February.

What we know about the Xxl project:

It's not an XXL project,

It's smaller then a master quest,

It's bigger then average content (whatever that means)

It's due in Early 2020.

It's being worked on by 4 people.

Jagex are now back tracking on reddit telling people to not get hyped, it's just an average update.

I know what your thinking why call it a XXL project, well i get the impression they have been taking notes out of Bethesda way of doing business which is it, lie, lie and ,lie.

See the XXL project, M and S rework and mobile are the reasons RS3 content has been so minimal for the last 2 years or so, or at least that's the excuse they have been using.

Im posting here cos' I've noticed people like myself have been buying membership based around this non existent XXL project, ive been believing jagex when they said these 3 projects are the reason content is so minimal.

We would agree that regardless of the profitability of the loot box trade, the risks associated with them are worryingly high

It really is a skeleton crew and one of the teams is dedicated to MTX/P2W events.

How many teams were there again? 4?

6 teams totalling 20 people, the M and S rework took so long as it's only 4 people doing, same with mobile.

Where do you get the "6 teams totalling 20 people"?

Even from your own image on Post 2, it clearly shows
"known"
members also count to 27. That obviously doesn't include members not publicly known as usual. And that obviously doesn't include the known RS3 jmods like Mod Osborne and Mod Mark among other QA and Graphics Jmods.

What you are attempting to say is something like "there are only a few known users in the forums so the world is not populated". :D

Nope what I'm saying and what's shown is these handful of people are the only ones creating content for the game, we know this to be true as all the updates we've been getting have only been done by these people.

im not talking about how many are at Jagex but how many are actively working on content for RS3.

Thought that was clear but obviously not, it's hard to debate with you as you have nothing bad to say on this corrupt company, to you they can do no wrong, thats your opinion, thats cool.

But don't try and derail this topic into something it isn't.

Who have been creating content for Curse of the Black Stone, Combat Week, Player Owned Farm update, Easter quest among other already revealed content not shown on your image then?

Are Mods Osborne and Mark not creating content for RS3?

There are other Jmods in the content development teams too and obviously they have been working on projects not shown on your image. How come they don't count? And how are these Jmods smaller than than the OSRS content development team especially when there are only a few actual content developers (about 6) among the entire 22 member OSRS crews? Even if there were only 27 (note: not 20 as you claimed) Jmods in RS3 content development, that would be 450% the size of the content developers in OSRS.

Please don't talk about derailment if this is exactly what your post complained about. And please show us the link to the reddit post(s) that you said Jmods commented on the XXL project.

Obviously, he wasn't listed on the project according to the image on Post 2. Obviously it is only a partial list. :D:D:D
