I am wondering if it's worth it to come back? Do people still find enjoyment from role-play?

Yes, people still find enjoyment from it.

In two of the above avarage active roleplay kingdoms Kingdom of Ardougne and Kingdom of Varrock for their usual player owned kingdom roleplay.

In for example The Wizards' Tower when they seek out magic and Wizard school themed roleplay.

In for example the newly reborn Imperial Inquisition for some Saradomin style justice infliction on some nasty monsters.

Or as they join up with big plots that stretch over multiple kingdoms like the current War of the Magi Part 2 that is going on.
(highly recommend this one)

Or purely because they enjoy sand in the The Caliphate of Kharid roleplay group.

W42 these days is all about finding that group that fits for you and joining their Discord group so that the RP they announce reaches you. Population is not that low but chances of simply running into roleplay are low, hence why these Discord announcements are pretty damn handy for a small community like ours.

I am bad and that's good, I will never be good and that's not bad, there's no one I'd rather be than me.

Hey, Mimi! Welcome~ It's as easy as applying to a group here on the forums (see their individual threads for the application templates), or alternatively just hopping in game and checking out the hub spots! Falador is the biggest place to be when you're not roleplaying, and it's where you can frequently find other players - I should note, however, that this isn't always the case. Sometimes the place can be a ghost town, and it's usually when things are on and popping elsewhere.

Hope to see you around!

I see there is a rules section.

So everyone who role play has to follow a set of rules a player made

and he is not even a jmod? O_o

I'm not starting an arguement. Just trying to see the logic why it's not
a jmod who set the rules but a player or even a group of player. I pay
membership just like you do. So what make you better than others that
you get to set rules?

Roleplay is an activity, not a FC or CC. So why should I follow any rule
another player made?

Hey there! Just like D&D, there are general rules in place that you can find across a majority of settings, most of which are listed here. These aren't rules that I've personally set in place, but rules that've been in this roleplay community for quite a while, that we as a community built, in order to keep things stable. Some groups shirk some of them, some groups shirk all of them and make up their own, and that's fine!

There's no real punishment if you break or refuse to follow any of the rules on this thread, the only risk is that people won't enjoy writing with you as often. You're under no obligation to do anything this thread says, ESPECIALLY if you're writing with your own friends! To summarize, this is really just a general guideline for interacting with the groups that push themselves as the "Official" public roleplay that helps make up the overall story of our world. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!

Are we really saying "forget the rules"?

When you're role-playing in the public sphere, you should respect these rules. When you're role-playing in a private session (whether this is with friends or a private group in itself) they can communicate if there any exceptions - it depends on the circumstance.

Otherwise, though, keep these in mind. These rules have been agreed on and used effectively for years.

Have fun out there Krystelle.

Woo! After a bit of reorganizing and opening up a bit more space (no, seriously, some of these posts have 0 characters left available) I've been able to correct "typos" (more like shortening words to make things fit.) For example, "braces" in the Symbols post is finally back to being "brackets"! The Sicarius |
