the FMod in question will probably get a small tap on the wrist (if that) and away they go into the forums, doing the exact same as before.

To add on to this, I'm totally guessing here, but it almost appears like time has a factor towards FMods being demodded, for example, FMod A makes 10 errors in 2 weeks - Demodded. Fmod B makes 10 errors in 2 months - totally fine. Obviously time should allow them extra mistakes, but it seems this factor is considered too leniently.

Sorry if my posts were too blunt @ mods, just my honest feedback/opinions.
where's the lamb sauce???????

Posting from my phone, sorry if there are mistakes.

I already said this on Shady Nick's thread. Jagex simply gives the Fmods a long leash because that way they minimise the time and resources they can spend on the forums. I know this thread is about FMR, not the Fmods, but the fact is that these two issues are interlinked. Jagex only considers FMR reports from the point of view of the moderator simply because it's so much easier to do so. The less things to do, the better.

"Prune - prune businesses, products, activities, people. Do it annually."

Now, what genuinely perplexes me is the extent to which Jagex is willing to allow their Fmods to behave before they lose their crown. The last time I saw a Fmod get demodded was because she went F2P and stopped playing the game or the forums entirely for 13 months. 13 months!

And I see the aforementioned "bad" Fmods do things that cause an uproar with the forum community. Things that other Fmods publicly state that they oppose. Things that undermine the actions of other Fmods. And still Jagex refuses to lift a finger. It's seriously a farce at this point.

Lol there is at least one FMod who has been inactive for longer from what I can see. If they are active elsewhere (like in mod forums) then they're hardly there for the community, if that makes sense. I'd kind of like to discuss this on another thread but it'd probably get locked. FMod inactivity that is, not any one specific FMods activity level.

As for the rest of your post, I agree. It's so much easier to just go 'Nope' than to investigate. If the thread was made public then players can see for themselves that Jagex are/aren't taking it seriously. It might also reduce weak reports players make (assuming some players just go around reporting everything a mod does).

Oh, they might be inactive, but at least they're still subbed to the game (indicating that they might come back sometime). Jagex won't touch them in that case. At least if you go F2P it's a sure sign that you've quit the game.

As for making FMR public, i can see the advantages it would bring. It's interesting to note that it's the exact opposite of what Kiara is suggesting with FMR anonymity.

There are advantages either way. Moderator accountability if FMR is made public, privacy for players if hidden, the disadvantages for making it public would be the lack of privacy, of course. By making FMR anonymous, it helps protect regular players which would be an immediate improvement, whereas making it public gives a new benefit while removing another.

Well if you suddenly got an increase in attention from fmods who you've posted about on the MRT for even the most trivial things most people would think the two were linked, but then again thinking about who is reading the reviews where any sort of post outside of simple yes or no questions seems to be too hard to understand you have to wonder...

If you found the time to post here why not address my concerns?
