With the events of the last few months, I feel that are some things that need to be addressed.

The biggest one I feel are the seemingly whimsical priorities. I'll just format this in a Drake meme style template to get the point across:

JMods reviewing FMR in a timely manner (I don't want to hear nothin' about only CM JMods reviewing it- Lee has reviewed it at one point and he is not a CM JMod): :(

Deciding forum boards that are seemingly inactive needing to be closed, some of which sparked heated commentary amongst the community regarding elitism and further driving a wedge in the community at large, and doing so almost immediately: :D

Like I'm seriously beginning to wonder where the hell their priorities are. No, I don't want a "we'll pass this along" as that's a platitude (Trust me, I work in retail, it is a platitude). I want answers. Like I think we should focus on things that actually matter (Like accountability, the Forum Users Online count to more accurately reflect activity, and a Posts Made within the last day type thing) rather than things like pruning an already largely pruned forum because bureaucracy.

What do you guys think?

@Team the Forum makeover was very much needed. I was against it and put up a fight to keep some sections. Including 1 in HLF. The makeover if you had to ask me has worked out well. It's made the forums run much smoother. It has been needed for a long time and it was done very well. Fungers crossed the number of threads and posts ill also improve. It would be nice to see some forum stats posted by Jagex. Maybe they will.

I will say it again about FMR. I have passed it along.

As for the first bit: I'm not going to argue whether or not it was needed, but rather if it was essential in the grand scheme of things.

Like, it has to be admitted that thread maintenance regarding Moderator accountability is infinitely more important than closing Forum boards that may or may not be inactive because...what seemingly appears to be "Reasons" and "Reasons" alone.

It would be like me in my job saying that rotating stock that was put up a week ago is more important than helping a frustrated customer who is approaching me about a matter in the now. It simply can't be compared.

For the second bit: I'm also not going to say whether or not you guys are not passing it along as that's not only not my position to say such, but it'd also be rude of me to make presumptions.

I will remark it as "it's telling if even the Moderators are being ignored, presuming it to be true."

The other thread was locked because, essentially, it couldn't really go anywhere. It was calling for a very specific course of action (locking the FMR thread) that would have to go through a JMod to have a decision made on that, and then to also come up with another process in its place for the time being. So discussion about whether or not it's a good course of action is largely a moot point, since it's at the very best, a very big hypothetical situation and the likelihood of a JMod weighing in on the situation instead of just addressing the FMR is very low.

I'm sorry, but uw0tm8?

There's something called "reading between the lines"..."context"..."double meaning"...

If we were to take any topic literally and keep it 100% on topic (trust me, you'll never be able to as topics eventually drift into other similar topics as a thread goes on), threads would be closed on like...page 5 at the absolute furthest.

The fact that OTHER people are calling for such drastic actions should tell you that there is something deeper and more serious going on that is worth discussion. Like even in that specific OP, there are multiple avenues the thread could have gone:

1- The lack of JMod attention and therefore neglected duty and inappropriate prioritization on their end (Basically this thread)

2- The increasing authoritative discretion resulting from aforementioned neglect that needs to be checked

3- More appropriate interactions between the Non-JMod Moderators and the Forum Base resulting from 1

But na, context is irrelevant, it seems.

The RSOF are Jagex's Property thus Jagex / JMods are allowed to do with The RSOF what they think need to be done according to their point of view necessary in future developments.
Jagex / JMods are also allowed to remove any feedback they notice being superfluous / unnecessary to be continued, or being disturbing for future feedback.
Of course all these things will be done under abundant and profound consideration within The Office with teams or other JMods, so nothing will go unnoticed by Employees responsible.
It also will say none of yours feedback goes unnoticed, not treated, but maybe future developments may contain parts of yours feedback being fully processed in these developments.

Okay.

That does nothing to address the actual issue.

If I neglected customer concerns at my job...well...I would be out one job.

Even if they do have absolute discretion as to what they do and don't review, that's no excuse to treat your customers like third-rate dregs. If anything, that's less of an excuse as now you're hiding behind bureaucracy, which society as a whole fucking despises.
