Has this happened often? Users that I've seen return on alts are usually even more disruptive than before, but in other ways. I'm not going to go into detail for any specific cases so as to not get this locked, but honestly I'm very surprised that the reason for the ban isn't considered when thinking about whether a use should be allowed to ban evade on multiple alts. But I guess at the end of the day it depends on whether they are friends with the forum mods. Thanks for your input!

In my 14 years on the forums, I can say that Jagex will take whatever action they see fit and have always done so, however lenient or strict.

If a few alts cause persistent trouble, then they'll eventually be removed and I'm sure there's been occasions in the past where Jagex has taken a harsher stance by issuing ingame offences, mutes and even permanent bans to accounts a person may have more investment in and care more about. That's not unheard of.

So, having said that, FMods have the tools to deal with situations as we see them; Jagex has extensive tools to deal with situations in a more impactful and long lasting way such as the things I've already mentioned so while it's possible for someone to simply return on a new account, doing so is a lot more effort than it takes for Jagex to remove them for continuing disruptive behaviour so it'll get to a point where the effort does not outweigh the results.

More of your posts removed. You should let it go instead of continuing to post misinformation and arguing.

In considering the frequency of rule-breaking, it is not always going to be so clear to an F-mod whenever a new forum account is created by the same individual, and they engage in novel rule-breaking behaviour that's different to the previous one.

However, it's not unreasonable to think that if an F-mod has their suspicions, they can always escalate it to Jagex for review of those accounts.

Also, if you are creating new accounts with the intention of breaking different rules which might make it easier to evade detection, then you're essentially violating the Code of Conduct, and the whole objective of the CoC.

However, this doesn't mean that if you create a new forum account, and accidentally break a rule, that you should be penalised to the same degree as if you had done so intentionally.

Yes a lot of us have broken rules, but the perm ban was not a rule breaker rather a trying to explain myself to a jmod which to them looked like I was arguing with them about there mate, there friend, there ....

Well then maybe you should've just stopped when you were told as even trying to "explaining" yourself can get you deeper into trouble obviously.

How sad is that, a perm ban on 3 accounts for trying to discuss an issue on FMR. While other people can be abusive and get a pat on their backs. - Jokku knows what's it was about, certainly not 3 account ban worthy. Very unfair, biased behaviour by Jagex support helpers.

using alts to continue rule breaking after being told to stop is clearly against the rules. there would have only been one account banned if rules were followed after the first ban.

On this particular case I didn't. All three accounts were perm banned at the same time. Not one after the other.

LOL i knew you were bad but i didn't know you were that bad. or you're lying to try to play victim :P

No, not playing a victim, no not lying, no not that bad - there were two different situations similar in nature within a week or so of each other, and both times all I did was try to explain how s/he abused her power. Of cause -you can ask Jokku- there is no way a forumer can win in this particular situation as the forums are such a bias place. I did nothing wrong except stick up for my fellow forumers which I will always do if a situation will arise.
