Is there actually still people left who thinks that the «players online» count on runescape homepage only counts players online on rs3?

Just curious
Yes, lol. But don't ruin their experience of RS3. It's already pretty much a single player game with how few people play. There's people that actually are pro-MTX that play RS3 too. Like, not just indifferent about it, but saying that it's a great thing.

I was suspicious but didn't know for sure, so you are saying that right now there are 62k playing OSRS and the "78k online" shown on RS3 is including that? :o

This is off-topic but i hope you don't mind as the reason i came into this "OSRS" part of the forum for the first time is that I am considering switching. I started playing in 2001/2002 and had some gaps of months or years here and there, when the split between OSRS + RS3 happened it passed me by and I didn't even realise that was an option so by default I ended up on RS3.

Is the management the same people for OSRS and RS3? Does my paid membership count on both or only one? In fact maybe I will make a new thread as I don't want my first post here to break the rules and result in my extermination (as it would in RS3). Thanks!

Same company but different teams manage osrs and RS3. Membership counts for both (but personally I think it's a good idea to use separate accounts for each as you can only play one account on one game at a time. I have a separate RS3 account that I afk while playing osrs. If my osrs and RS3 account were the same, I would not be able to play both at once.

Give it a try and see how you like it :)

The players online count on the rs3 homepage is actually osrs’ count + rs3 combined which means if the count is 100k and osrs’ count is 90k there’s only 10k players online on rs3

Yep, currently there are less than 18k players on rs3.
