Does anybody else here get warm fuzzy feelings of nostalgia when they play OSRS? Whenever I play OSRS, It reminds me of the days of standing in Falador trying to sell stuff to other players. What about you guys?
Nah, but the ironman game mode does.Draft dodger btw. Too scared to attack an enemy that tried to harm my loved ones so "I only learned to defend". Typical boomer born right after the era where my parents suffered the solitude of WWII, deprivation of the Great Depression while I never had to suffer jack or risk a thing.
Sometimes if I'm doing the right content in the right place...

Definitely miss the early days. I'd go to the bone yard and power level prayer to 43, and pk with no food because protect prayers were hyper OP and it was actually very rare to have. There was no map so I would get lost and just explore. Quests took forever because I would just try to figure it out as I go. I would make money by killing hill giants in the Edgeville dungeon and selling the bones and roots on world 1. There would always be people just hanging out in Varrock square by the fountain and chatting and socializing. People were more open to just talking about stuff along the way and I would make random friends.
Now everything is just too easy... money, xp, quests, and it's all about gp/hr and xp/hr. Most people are too focused on that to talk or socialize. I hardly see people just hanging out now, although there are some by the GE from time to time. I think we lost much of the soul of the game along the way.

Everytime I walk past locations where back in the day I use to always be or hang out, the warm fuzzy nostalgia does flow through. Once area that always makes me fuzzy is walking past the Falador cow pen because when I first started I use to kill cows for the hides and sell them for 00-110gp each which I thought was a bargain. I would buy full rune with this method.
I'm glad OSRS gives you the warm fuzzies, Hope you continue playing and finding more nostalgic places.Forum Help ||
No, I get fuzzy feelings of nostalgia when I play classic Doom, the first one that came out in 1993.
On topic, I've started to play RS in 2004, so 2007 really doesn't feel like nostalgia to me. 2006 interface and the older midi instruments we had in that period would be a closer experience to 2004 RS.
