Quit trying to force an esports agenda onto an RNG-based dice simulator game that isn't built for it. Leagues and KOTS are. excellent ideas since skilling is much less dependent on RNG, but things like DMM need to stop. I would much rather anyone PK in game than do so irl. If you wanna get it out, do it on an online platform please. I don't want anyone getting harmed physically. :(

Actually OSRS or even RS3 can work for eSports, its just they havent found the right tournament for it.
DMM was a decent idea, just it got taken over by clan mentality and alting.

Honestly i can see RS3 doing more eSports since they use abilities like many other eSport games.

The problem is RNG determines everything.

How long does thisNPC take to kill? How much damage will he do to me? How much food will I need? Will I get a good drop? How long will it take for me to chop this magic log? Can I do waterfall quest on a new account without getting 1 shot by a fire giant?

Of course they're very small things, but it adds up over time. It's the difference between getting a piece of barrows gear on your first kill, and going 100 trips dry.

How can something be considered truly competitive in that kind of environment? The PvP is equally as flawed because victory is usually determined by how much burst damage you can pull off with your spec attack bar. Which is also random.
Don't forget – RuneScape members get TWO free spins a day instead of the usual one!

WoW has eSports for their PvP and its a lot like what we have in terms of RNG.
Though that would better fit RS3 due to abilities than it would for OSRS.

I personally don't really have an issue with it if it has minimal effect towards the rest of the game. If other players can find a way to enjoy that type of competition, and make it fun to watch, while also (hopefully) not taking it too seriously, then yeah, more power too 'em. I'll be over here Runecrafting or something. Try and make that entertaining for the big screen!

Sorry but Runescape doesn't fit in esports! Lack of player competitions to win a prize! Compared to other game genres, Runescape just doesn't have the correct one! My goals and achievements on F2P accounts! ---> Thread! <---
