Hi. This is OLD SCHOOL runescape. Please don't ruin our game like it was ruined 10 years ago:) Have some respect for your OLD SCHOOL player base. Most of the community can hardly rc or construct properly, and how is adding a new skill going to help anyone? The gear in game is already great. It is well priced because it is good and non degradable.

How about instead of trying to add a new and incompatible skill into this already complete game.. You can add new mini games and bosses instead. You know so no one has to watch the market collapse :)

Seriously why not scrap warding altogether, and instead develop new minigames?? I would be delighted if OSRS did not become anything like RS2 turning into RS3 thank you very much.

Do you have any actual criticism of the skill, or is your only objection that this is OLD SCHOOL?

Newsflash: RS2 was never a static game. It was constantly changing, and yes, that included new skills. There is no doubt that it went in a very bad direction to end up at RS3, but that doesn't mean that the idea of new skills is inherently incompatible with OSRS.

You mention construction in your op, which is a very good example of a skill that was not originally a part of RS2, but nobody would now argue that it isn't an awesome, integral part of OSRS. Same goes for farming, hunter and slayer.

You can argue that Warding is a bad skill, I have a few reservations about it myself, but to me, the idea that new skills don't belong in OSRS at all simply because they aren't old is silly. To me, OSRS should be RS2 done right, developed as the original should have been, not just a static snapshot of something from the past with a few new minigames bolted on top.
Anyone that wants changes to make ironman easier should be renamed wannabe-man and have their ironman icon replaced with a dunce hat.

The actual old school community's been gone for ages. Cry more. All we have is a bunch of Pre-EoCers who love power creep. If you're gonna cry about a skill that fills in an iconic and much needed gap but not Twisted Bows, Scythes, Blowpipes, etc., you can get lost. I'm loving all these salty tears tbh. I haven't clicked on any phishing links and as a result, I haven't gotten hacked. Git gud nubnubs.

They're not developing minigames, because the current ones are dead and so would any new one. Also, if you're so bad that you don't even have 99 runecrafting and construction in 2019, then idk what to tell you besides the fact that this game shouldn't cater to noobs. I haven't clicked on any phishing links and as a result, I haven't gotten hacked. Git gud nubnubs.

Don't worry man Warding won't pass a poll many people have already expressed concerns. Don't let people tell you "Cry more" or "Deal with it" Because they are toxic Vote yes to the Warding skill

You do realize that for the two years of 2005 and 2006 we had FOUR skills released, right?

The lack of any skill implemented in such a long period is actually not very oldschool-like at all.

On the contrary, implementing dead minigames and excessive PvM content is a staple of RS3's development mindset. Feel free to go enjoy a game of Heist in RS3, or a game of Last Man Standing here in OSRS, before you ask for more minigames.
Don't forget ľ RuneScape members get TWO free spins a day instead of the usual one!
