I'm unsure where you see anything similar between summoning and this?

All I am suggesting is that the luck drop we are talking about could slightly benefit in term of little damage or XP bonus.

Nowhere did I mentioned they would fight or have mobile ability.

I meant as a static ability like a ring that would provide 5% damage/XP but in that case it would be that pet.

Literally no point similar to summoning lol

summoning was a method to create familiars that would aid you in battle, among other things. That is precisely what you want pets to do.

What is worse is you want those benefits to be based on something that no one has any control over, rng.

Some people can cut one log from a regular tree and get a beaver. Others can cut 1 to 99 and never see one. This is completely unfair, but as long as the pet gives no advantages, it doesn't matter.

Your right, it isn't summoning because in summoning, the advantages you get are the ones you earn. In your suggestion its what your lucky enough to get.
Stop being a entitled snowflake. If you want something in game, earn it rather than demand it be given to you.

I guess my english isn't as good as I though. Nowhere did I mention the pet would help you in battle. I said it would act as a bonus. Like slayer helmet that give 15% damage. But the pet would give 5% damage while its following you.

Also 5% bonus is so little you would barely notice. It just a winks that it gives a little extra. It can be 1% Bonus to.

Summoning in RS3 fight with you, hold item for you, cast spells for you and give level boost. Nothing alike... unless I am ignoring something that you can correct me? Its true I have been innactive a while...

Giving a bonus IS helping.

IF someone is lucky enough to get the snake pet, then his rewards are higher than someone that goes out there or years and never gets the pet. THAT is helping.

You are not the first one to suggest pets do this and everyone that does support sees it as a backdoor summoning. I have rarely seen any suggestion like this get any support. As many people that are against this would vote that way, it has no chance to pass a poll.

I can understand you dosn't like the idea and that you don't support it, I respect that.
But it is nothing like Summoning, that point doesn't make any sence. Unless there is a content I have been ignoring in summoning all these years that someone can correct me? I dont play to mich on rs3 so maybe something changed?

Also the point you state about being unfair Bonus is the same truth as if someone would use DHCbow against Dragon and not you. But that guy get 15% damage instead. You could very well CoX a year without droping any and someone could get 1 after one run. What make it different than what I suggest? Because it is buyable? Because someone who specifically know hoe to make alot of money easily could get one but not the others? Because someone very high level that do daily CoX run could get one and the other to bad for them until they somehow get one? It is the very same thing. But what I propose is a non-buyable version with less stats. A bonus that you can't buy or get via short-way. A version that you actually have to strugglr to get by your very own ressources in order to get these bonus.

What is wrong with that?

I can understand the game get easy enough over the time. I have been playing runescape since 2006, I have been fetching with single click log, I have been runecrafting when law rune crafting with air ballon were the smartest choice. I saw the highscore went from 600 99 into 20k 99 because of one nerf update. I saw every first 200m XP in highscore. I saw the struggle. I also dislike when it get easier.

But what I truly dislike is when it get easier for insanely rich players. When it get easier because one person know how to make a short way and profit of it.

What I would like to see is the game, is an update that would benefit those who actually farm alot. Those who doesn't take a short-cut into a skill. Pets are the perfect example of a struggling rewards. You have to farm alot to get it. No short way.

Yes you can get a pet after 100 log or after 200k logs but RNG drop are part of the game, everything is RNG, even combat skill is RNG when you do damage.

You would get bonus by your very own effort. Because you farmed by yourself.. You didnt just buy it.
