Nice yayyy finally. Zeaaaaah updatteee w000t. We can do any faction now?

That's not come out yet. Mat's come up with a nice design for how to unlock it, and the artists are doing the GFX side of it while Maz does the code. I believe they're making good progress.

Good to hear...I await with bated breath =)

The Nightmare Zone versions of Fareed and Flambeed will no longer have a chance of dropping your weapon to the ground if you have a full inventory.
Wait, so they don't need ice gloves anymore then? Or what? How does this work?

I hope we can help you get unbated in the next week or two.

That would be nice ;)

Wait, so they don't need ice gloves anymore then? Or what? How does this work?

The heat tries to make you unequip the weapon.
If you have inventory space, it unequips successfully.
Otherwise it looks for "junk" in your inventory (defined as tradeable items under 100gp) and drops some of that to free up a slot. Then it unequips the weapon.
Otherwise...

Previously, the item would have fallen to the floor.
Now, the item stays equipped, but you are prevented from attacking the monster with it.

The quest versions of the monsters have not been affected; this is just NMZ.

Ah, so if an item has lower than 100 alch value, be warned, you may lose it if you die in that fight...gotcha, thx for the clarification =)

I just dont understand why you wont give us the dragon claws on the old school game not just the tournament worlds...

We offered them on Deadman Mode only a few weeks ago, and they didn't pass even there.

By introducing them in Tournament worlds, so players can go play with them a bit and get a feel for how they impact PvP, either:
- everyone realises they're great, so we get enough support to add them to OSRS, OR
- everyone realises they're not good, and stops asking for them.
I don't much mind either way, myself, but I'd be glad for players to have a chance to play with them and remember what they're like again.

Sad to see this part "- everyone realises they're great, so we get enough support to add them to OSRS, OR"

Because that's exactly what I said would happen :@

I so wanted to be proven wrong on it O_o

It might not.

But the calls for dragon claws over the last 3 years have not exactly gone away. If we're going to go one way or the other, it will be a reasonably informed decision, not just based on people's vague memory of something they did 7 years ago. Indeed, it's about the closest we've managed to get to offering a beta for a small update.

Well, that would be a decent thing...having a beta for some of these updates.

It just pains me (and some others) that after years of saying 'no' you allow yourselves to be worn down by the vocal minority...I mean, like you said, they didn't even pass for Deadman...but you're dropping them in Tourney, and discussing polling them for OSRS anyways? :@:OO_o

I'm more interested in addressing the topic on its merits, not by trying to count forum posts or tweets in favour or in opposition. Mind you, it got 66% Yes in the Deadman poll, so perhaps it's not such a small minority.

Yah, and a lot of those were because it was only for DMM...

Oh well, if it gets polled and shot down, at least we can say 'polled, failed, move on' like we do with all the requests for 'rares' to be discontinued, and the ditch, and everything else that's failed that keeps being asked for anyways O_o

Avid i dont even think you have the authority to speak on 50 percent of rs players lol your one out thousands of members. All i can see atm is ive seen familar names in tournament worlds i havent seen in 3 years . Its all probably cause of the taste of dragon claws. Everyone seems to be enjoying them very much atm so stop being a grouch and let us speak as community not one individual...

I'm one individual, just like you. And I've seen a different response than you have, obviously.

Btw, 50% is not needed to pass a poll, remember? You need 75%....and only got 66% for a poll that was having them strictly in DMM.

Have fun with them in the 'beta'.

No, then they wouldn't be the d claws people Rememberd. More people would vote no to that. Even if they enjoyed it.

OG d claws FTW, weren't even OP go to tournament worlds and test for yourself.

Yeah i went to a tourney world, and after getting rushed a dozen times in 5 minutes i decided i'd rather not have them in their current state. 60% spec would be just enough balance to make them not oppressive, but still good enough for people to use.

Thank you =)

And Duxy ofc, confirms what I've said all along...if they got a nerf, the ones who want them to stay OP, will vote them down.

They'd never pass a poll....in any form.
