The Nightmare Zone versions of Fareed and Flambeed will no longer have a chance of dropping your weapon to the ground if you have a full inventory. Wait, so they don't need ice gloves anymore then? Or what? How does this work?
The heat tries to make you unequip the weapon.
If you have inventory space, it unequips successfully.
Otherwise it looks for "junk" in your inventory (defined as tradeable items under 100gp) and drops some of that to free up a slot. Then it unequips the weapon.
Previously, the item would have fallen to the floor.
Now, the item stays equipped, but you are prevented from attacking the monster with it.
The quest versions of the monsters have not been affected; this is just NMZ.
Could you maybe repoll the dragon sq. acting as an antifire sometime in the future, but make it similar to the hasta as in you need to pay an npc to get the upgraded version. Maybe also put an extra requirement on this new version as well. This would create a gold sink and not allow extremely easy access to a middle class antifire shield.
Do you think it's the lack of a gold sink that made people not want this? Or the lack of extra requirements? Those are things we could certainly change for a repoll, but I'd have thought there were other reasons for people to have voted No.
Why do the dclaws use a different inventory icon than the one from 2008? I'd rather see that one.
Cosmetics, cosmetics. We have many things that players want the artists to do; spending their time on adapting the pre-EoC model to work in OSRS would have taken them off other things. And most of the interest in dragon claws is in terms of what they do when you're fighting with them.
And I've heard the animation of dclaws are smoother, does this also apply to Diango's claws?
I believe so. There'd have been little point maintaining 2 versions.
Would it be possible to add 1 vs 1 areas to one or two maps around the portals?
Sounds reasonable, yes. Though we would not be able to make single-way areas via a toggle, so people would have to vote it through without one.

What's the reasoning behind only allowing ShardShare on a selection of worlds?
The sharing system in the old days was restricted to certain worlds so that solo players could go to a non-enabled world to have a better chance of avoiding clans. We thought it'd be worth having the same ability.
Mind you, back in those days, there weren't enough worlds where that kind of thing was offered. We'd balance it differently, maybe 70% with vs 30% without.
And, of course, it may be a moot point.
The private KBD instance is only for solo'ing? I mean, there's no way to enter one with a partner?
So if I bring 50k to KBD instance and kill someone else going to KBD instance, I'll have 100k?
If you kill someone who's carrying 50k coins, and they only protect 3-4 items, and they're carrying some combat kit too, I'd expect their 50k coins to be among the stuff they drop for you.
I just dont understand why you wont give us the dragon claws on the old school game not just the tournament worlds...
We offered them on Deadman Mode only a few weeks ago, and they didn't pass even there.
By introducing them in Tournament worlds, so players can go play with them a bit and get a feel for how they impact PvP, either:
- everyone realises they're great, so we get enough support to add them to OSRS, OR
- everyone realises they're not good, and stops asking for them.
I don't much mind either way, myself, but I'd be glad for players to have a chance to play with them and remember what they're like again.
why do the dclaws have the dds noise?
We've got an incomplete pre-EoC archive with quite a lot of the code in (not including game engine) and various assets. Unfortunately the game in those days was using sound effects in a completely different format to what OSRS can read, so we generally can't re-use those.

Sad to see this part "- everyone realises they're great, so we get enough support to add them to OSRS, OR"
Because that's exactly what I said would happen
It might not.
But the calls for dragon claws over the last 3 years have not exactly gone away. If we're going to go one way or the other, it will be a reasonably informed decision, not just based on people's vague memory of something they did 7 years ago. Indeed, it's about the closest we've managed to get to offering a beta for a small update.

It just pains me (and some others) that after years of saying 'no' you allow yourselves to be worn down by the vocal minority...
I'm more interested in addressing the topic on its merits, not by trying to count forum posts or tweets in favour or in opposition. Mind you, it got 66% Yes in the Deadman poll, so perhaps it's not such a small minority.
What is the point in the warship? It literally has no use other than to examine it.
It never had one.
Back in RS Classic, you could get one, and examine it, and it didn't do anything. In RS2, it wasn't even available, so only players who'd kept one from RSC had one. We've made it available in OSRS along with the holiday items that were discontinued in the old days.
