I have noticed that many, many players get lured to fake RS forums.

They try to log into the website just to give their login details away.

As far as i know, you are required to have the same username and password on your RS and forum accounts.

I think it should be required to have a different password on both accounts.

I know there are other RS tools to secure against hackers; however, how many times do we hear someone cry on the forums about being a victim of this scam?

I don't think it would matter, because someone who is tricked into entering their info on a fake website would probably enter both their forum and game info and Authenticator code and bank pin and anything the phishing site asked them to enter and still get hijacked. Hi.

^ Can not disagree with your logic.

I thought of this after doing a RS topic search and came across a forum post that was related to the issue I was learning about.

A while later I logged in and forgot to:

- use my RS bookmark to access everything RS; and
- check the website URL.

Luckily, after checking the URL, I discovered it WAS the authentic RS forum website.

I have authenticator on my RS account and authentictor for my bank pin; however, I know other players do not.
