From 00:00 UTC on 23rd February until 23:59 UTC on 27th February, Bonus Chests can be found on Treasure Hunter, offering double or triple the prizes of a regular chest – plus a cheeky peek inside before you open!
If you haven't played Bonus Chests before, you can log in and open Treasure Hunter once the promo starts to receive three complimentary medium prismatic lamps, and open more chests to progress towards more.
If you've claimed the complimentary lamps in a previous Bonus Chest promotion you won't get more, but you can get right back into the Bonus Chest fun.
Please note that this promotion is not available to Ironman accounts.
How does it work?
Each Key that you use to open a chest will add charge to the progress bar at the top of the Treasure Hunter interface.
At five, your Bonus Chest will enter the corporeal realm, allowing it to be opened (no additional Key required) and the prize therein will be doubled or tripled. From this point, you can open the chest, or keep opening regular chests.
Each chest you open redetermines the contents and multiplier of the chest (which are visible). The bar won't progress beyond 10, but you can open more chests to refresh the Bonus Chest's contents. Opening the Bonus Chest - of course - resets the bar to 0.

What is Treasure Hunter?
Treasure Hunter is playable from within RuneScape, allowing players to use Keys to claim in-game items as prizes. These range from useful resources to rare weapons and exclusive gear.
Playing Treasure Hunter is simple - click the treasure chest icon that pops up when you log in. If you've not played before, just follow the on-screen guide.
Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and RuneScape members get two. You can earn more Keys while playing the game, or stock up by redeeming Bonds.
If you'd like more, you can also buy Keys on the website, or by clicking 'Buy Keys' within the Treasure Hunter interface in-game.
