Community Chronicle - 17/04/14

Welcome to the latest Community Chronicle. Every fortnight, we round up the most exciting, art, videos - and more - fresh from the RuneScape community!

Over the last couple of weeks, we've had some exciting community events, game updates, live streams and more, so join us as we check out the finer details.

What to Watch

Rogie (aka Skiller) talks about Legacy Mode and EoC Improvement Progress - we found it to be super interesting, so be sure to take a look:

ScapeSkillRS checks out the bank updates we released earlier in the month. Check it out on YouTube.

In Game

Fancy yourself as a bit of a penguin hunter? Well, World60Pengs is celebrating its 300th hunt, and we thought we'd give you plenty of notice! Check out their thread on the official RuneScape Forums to find out more.

This week will also feature one of the biggest events of the year: The RuneScape Gathering 2014! This year, the organisers will be streaming the event live on the official RuneScape Twitch channel too. The event will take place on the 19th April at 7pm BST – head to Ice Mountain on world 80 to join in. For full details, you can check out the forum thread in the Events – "One Off" forum.

Social Media

As you may have seen on RuneScape this Easter, we're big on our greens and primates. To celebrate the release of the Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza on Gielinor, we're hosting a series of daily #TeamGorilla and #TeamCabbage contests on Twitter all this week and next; between 2-3pm BST each day. So, whether it's a battle-cry, a meme, or even a haiku, make sure you support your chosen god and win – for deliciousness or for partying.

If you want to share your support, we've created a special forum thread where you can download special #TeamGorilla and #TeamCabbage social media avatars and backgrounds – which you can access here.

You may also notice a few special Pinterest boards up with our favourite Monkey and Cabbage-based images, and some awesome Vines popping up over the next week, so keep your eyes peeled and share them for your favourite team!
