Captain Haskell is back! Furious at being replaced by Challenge Mistress Fara, the old Challenge Quartermaster has created Rival Challenge Tokens. Win the tokens to attempt special challenges for XP or trade them in for an extra ticket in Balthazar's Big Raffle!
To get your hands on his rival challenge tokens all you need to do is unlock Treasure Hunter chests from Friday 12th September to Monday 15th September. Each of these tokens allows you to choose one of three skills; agility, hunter, and thieving, and then pick a corresponding task to complete. Captain Haskell’s challenges take less time to complete than your daily challenges from Fara and offer a scaled down XP reward in return.
Got a rival challenge token? All you need to do is click on your token to open Captain Haskell’s special Rival Challenges window, scroll through the challenge options, and pick the one that catches your eye. You can only complete one challenge at a time so when you’re finished left click the completed token to report back to the Quartermaster of Challenges.
You can even trade your challenge tokens for Balthazar’s Big Raffle tickets! If you’ve got 10 uncompleted tokens in your inventory head to Captain Haskell in Burthorpe and exchange them for 1 raffle ticket. You can only do this twice a day, over the four days of Rival Challenges.
Pop open Treasure Hunter Chests between Friday 12th September at 00:00 GMT and Monday 15th September at 23:59 GMT to win Captain Haskell’s Rival Challenge Tokens and help him try to steal his title back.
Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and if you’re a RuneScape member you get two! You can also get your hands on more through gameplay – just visit the wiki to find out how, and learn a little more about Treasure Hunter at the same time.
You can also buy more Keys via the website, redeem Bonds in-game, or just select ‘Buy Keys’ when you’re in Treasure Hunter.
