| This page contains a specific evaluation on how to efficiently complete a certain section of the game or perform a certain task. As RuneScape is a complex game which allows for lots of different play styles and techniques it does not necessarily mean that other ways of playing through the content are wrong or invalid, merely an alternative interpretation. This is a short guide on how to efficiently train all skills to 200 million experience.
The following attributes will be considered:
To efficiently train all skills, some must be trained together.
What gear should I use?
With the Prayer skill and potions, defensive stats can be neglected. This gear has been decided to have the best DPS (Damage Per Second) at reasonable cost. Also, for the attack bonus considering the Chaotic Rapier is the weapon of choice, only the stab attack bonus will apply. This is because the rapier has a +94 stab bonus, +78 slash bonus, and can't use crush. Therefore, you will not use shared on the rapier, and train all of the 3 skills separately with stab.
Weapon Slot: Chaotic Rapier
-Offers +94 stab attack bonus and +101 Strength
Shield Slot: Dragon Defender
-Offers +25 stab attack bonus and +6 Strength
--- This weapon is relatively 'free'. It is obtained from killing Cyclopses in the Warriors guild. This is better than the Dragonfire Shield despite the much lower defence bonuses and a +7 strength bonus, however the dragon Defender is recommended as it is the shield with attack bonuses (except the Chaotic Kiteshield, which gives minimal attack bonuses and requires a recharge after 10 hours of combat)
Necklace Slot: Amulet of Fury
-Offers +10 stab attack bonus and +8 Strength, along with +5 Prayer
-- This offers the best all-round stats in the game. Although the Strength amulet offers a higher strength bonus, if sacrifices all other bonuses.
Torso Slot: Torva platebody > Bandos chestplate > Fighter torso
-These bodies all offer 0 attack bonus and +4 Strength
--Note: Torva requires money to repair, while offering the same offensive stats as the other choices. Torva is extremely expensive, and outside the cost range of most players, however it offers the best bonuses in the game, as well as a life point boost for each piece in the set worn. With all three pieces worn, the players base lifepoints are boosted too 1390.
--- Bandos Chestplate is a much more affordable option, offering decent defence bonuses and good strength bonuses, but inferior to Torva. The Fighter Torso offers good strength bonuses but fairly bad defence bonuses. However, it doesn't cost coins as such, instead being bough from Barbarian Assault for 375 points in every role.
Legs Slot: Torva platelegs > Bandos tassets
-These legs all offer 0 attack bonus and +2 Strength
--Note: See previous post.
Ring Slot: Berserker ring (i) > Berserker ring or Ferocious ring
- All rings offer 0 attack bonus
--Berserker ring (i) offers +8 Strength, however it requires 30 hours of Mobilising Armies, assuming 10 ranks per hour, and costs 205,900 reward credits to imbue.
--Berserker ring offers +4 Strength bonus
--Ferocious ring is only to be used in Kuradal's Dungeon and adds 40 damage to every hit over 0.
Gloves Slot: Goliath Gloves > Gloves (Barrows)
- Barrows gloves offers +12 stab attack bonus and +12 Strength (Requires completion of Recipe for Disaster and all of its Sub-quests)
--Goliath gloves offer +14 stab attack bonus and +13 Strength. However, they require an initial 500 kills in set 1 at the Dominion Tower, and still degrade after two hours of combat use. they also feature a special effect where you have significantly boosted unarmed combat damage, but this is useless since other weapons are more efficient. They come in four colours, red, yellow, white and black. To get extra pairs, it'll only be another 5 boss kills, and the Strange Face can store extra pairs for you.
Boots Slot: Steadfast boots > Dragon boots
- Steadfast boots offer +2 stab attack bonus and +4 Strength, however cost significantly more than Dragon boots.
--Dragon boots offer 0 stab attack bonus and +4 Strength, but are much cheaper than Steadfast boots.
Helm Slot: Slayer helm
- Offers 0 attack and strength bonuses. However, the helm increases the overall attack and strength bonuses on slayer tasks by 15%.
-- Protects against smoke damage in the Pollnivneach slayer dungeon for effigy hunting
-- Holds 50 Summoning Scrolls
Cape slot: Completionist cape > Max cape > Fire cape
- Completionist cape offers +10 stab attack bonus and +4.5 Strength. Includes spirit cape ability, and is the best cape in the game in all stats except weight.
- Max cape offers +5 stab attack bonus and +4 Strength, and is the second best cape in the game.
- Fire cape offers +1 stab attack bonus and +4 Strength. The Soul Wars cape is also a good option due to its high prayer bonus. Some players may wish to use the Ardougne Cloak due its Stab Attack bonus.
Special Weapons: Dragon claws and/or Korasi's Sword - When using specials of certain weapons it will decrease the length of the slayer tasks.
- Korasi's Sword is the most effective on metal dragon tasks (Steel, Iron, and Mithril dragons), while Dragon claws are most effective on all the other tasks.
-- Wearing a Ring of Vigour, a player can use a Korasi's Sword special, immediately followed by a Dragon Claws special.
