| This walkthrough is using the old QuestHelp system. As such these may be out of date and require rewriting. Contribute to the Wiki by rewriting it as a walkthrough! The QuestHelp system was based upon your progress through a quest, including items you had in your inventory and what states your quest variables were at. As such, QuestHelps were a series of questions and answers and do not flow as a complete guide. |

PLEASE REMEMBER: I need to have a cat by my side at all times when speaking to Hild if I am to progress with this quest. I can acquire a cat for 100gp through Gertrude, who can be found far west of Varrock (in the house on the south side of the road west of Varrock).
A strange beast amidst the pyramids may be of assistance.
I need to locate the Sphinx outside the pyramids of Sophanem and speak to him in order to obtain another Amulet of Catspeak!
PLEASE REMEMBER: This item has to be worn when speaking to any character in this quest.
I need to come out of Unferth's house and follow the path a little north. The first house I come across will be where Hild is located!
There are various ways to obtain death runes, ranging from Runecrafting to buying. If that doesn't help, maybe killing a few monsters will?
I will need to either purchase these runes (Port Sarim, Varrock, Wizards Guild), Runecraft them if I am very talented (having completed Mourning's End Part 2 and level 65 Runecrafting), or alternatively I can kill some medium-level monsters who tend to drop death runes, such as guards and tribesmen.
I need to take these death runes to Hild, who will use them to enchant my Amulet of Catspeak.
Keeping my ears clean and open is the way forward. I need to see what happens if I open the amulet and play with it!
First my enchanted Amulet of Catspeak will need to be unequipped. I can then open the amulet and click on its whiskers to change the direction (nose) that the amulet is pointing in.
When the amulet is pointing in the right direction (towards Bob the Cat), the amulet's eyes will light up. I need to use this method to locate Bob the Cat.
I will need to locate Gertrude who can be found far west of Varrock (the house opposite Juliet's).
I will need to locate Reldo, who can be found in the palace library, north-east of the palace in Varrock.
The Sphinx is known to like pyramids. This may be a good place to start looking.
I will need to locate the Sphinx who can be found in Sophanem, standing outside the pyramids.
Talking to someone very close by may help!
Unferth can be found in Burthorpe, and I need to speak to my cat who will advise and make me a new list of chores.
I need to read the list of chores, look around the house and if I still can't figure it out, I need to ask my cat!
I need to right-click on the bed and select "Make Bed".
I need to read the list and ask my cat.
What is there in the house that could be used to warm a house or human? Will something need to be burnt? Will I need something to light it with?
I will need to obtain some logs and use them with the fireplace. Next, I need to acquire a tinderbox and use it on the fireplace to light the logs!
I need to read the list of chores and ask my cat. I wonder what the empty dishes on the table are for? I might find something in that bookcase that can help me!
I will need to cater for Unferth's thirst by using a bucket of milk with the glass on the table. If I search the bookcase I will find a special recipe.
I need to prepare some food according to the recipe and use it with the dish on the table. Unferth will then eat and drink it, in his own time.
I will need acquire and use a bucket of milk with the glass on the table. I can acquire a bucket of milk by using an empty bucket with a cow!
I need to acquire flour, eggs and milk and mix them together in a cake tin. I can then cook the cake by using it with a range (level 40 Cooking required).
Finally I need to acquire or buy a chocolate bar and add it to the cake to make a chocolate cake (level 50 Cooking required)
If I don't have the required Cooking levels I can always rely on a skilled friend. Alternatively, there is not much out there that money can't buy!
I will need to use my chocolate cake with the dish on the table!
I need to read the list and possibly ask my cat for advice. In what way does Unferth look untidy?
I will need to acquire a pair of shears and use it on Unferth's hair until he is bald. Lumbridge general store will have a pair for sale.
It seems rather weedy, therefore it might be a good idea to take them out.
I will need to acquire a rake and use it on the garden until it has been fully weeded.
Rakes can be bought from a farmer called Alain, who can be found in Taverley.
I will eventually need to acquire a a seed dibber and four potato seeds in order to replant some potatoes.
A seed dibber can be bought from a farmer called Alain, who can be found in Taverley. Once planted they will grow and the garden will be back to its original state (fully grown - 30 minutes). I can get hold of potato seeds by killing the guards of Falador or buying them from Draynor marketplace.
Once I have planted the seed it will take approximately 30 minutes for the potatoes to go through its seedling stages.
Once the seeds have fully grown, the garden will be back to its original state and my task will be complete.
I should talk to Unferth with a cat by my side or on my possession. He is looking a little pale...
I will need to locate the Apothecary, who can be found in his shop located in Varrock (near the sword shop).
Desert robes, a desert shirt or druid robes would do the trick.
I will need to acquire a desert robe, a desert shirt or druid robe bottoms and wear one of them when trying to speak to Unferth.
Desert robe bottoms and desert shirts can be purchased from the Shantay Pass shop south of Al Kharid
Druid robe bottoms can be acquired by killing druids who will drop these bottoms when dead.
A doctor's gown can be obtained as part of the Biohazard quest by searching the cupboard in Nurse Sarah's house located south-west of Ardougne.
PLEASE REMEMBER: I need to be wearing the clothing when speaking to Unferth.
I should make sure that I am not wearing any armour or carrying any weapons when I see Unferth, or he will not believe that I am a real nurse.
I need to listen to what my cat is telling me!
I will need to take a vial of water to Unferth, as advised by the Apothecary, in order to convince him it is a magical cure. I will need to buy a vial from the herbalist store in Taverley and can fill it with water by using it with a sink or fountain. For information on how to craft this item please see the link below:

I should make sure that I am not wearing any armour or carrying any weapons when I see Unferth, or he will not believe that I am a real doctor.
I wonder why I am outside UNFERTH'S house? I need to speak to Unferth, who will advise me appropriately.
